Na who know know fr. The more you are friends with Edo women the more you know that they like working and acquiring assets. Nothing concern Edo babe with Nwunye Odogwu, na she gan gan be the Odogwu. I love those babes fr.
This is such a lazy narrative. What data do you have to support your conclusion that the majority of Edo women who own houses inherited them from their deceased husbands?
While you lived there for five years, I grew up there.
First, Edo does not have a culture of disinheriting women from land and property simply because they are women.
Secondly, Edo women, and the culture in general, encourage hard work across genders. Edo women are particularly hardworking and are not groomed to be odogwu wives like my sisters down East. Acquiring wealth and property is therefore a by-product of a culture that encourages women to work and build for themselves.
So, bear the shame of how women are treated in your own culture instead of coming here to spill rubbish to suit whatever agenda you're trying to push.
This is how you people keep embarrassing yourselves publicly. Once you get the attention you're looking for, you'll start ayam ayam.

I will say it over and over and over again.
There is absolutely no shame in asking what the purpose of a relationship is and where it is headed.
Ask the questions. Have the conversations. Be clear about what you want and what you are working towards.
Decentre the shame around having these conversations today. Clarity is not desperation.
Knowing what you want is not pressure and asking for direction is not asking for too much.

The way you people rewrite history on this app. The region that started & popularised Nigerian Pidgin will always be the South-South, particularly Delta, Edo and Port Harcourt. These are regions with numerous ethnic groups and no single indigenous language serving as a common language across them. Pidgin naturally became the lingua franca through which people from different ethnic groups communicated.
None of the major tribes should be in this conversation, because they communicate in their language!!!
Replying to @AfroVII
Most pidgin is either Yoruba, Efik or Kalabari. That's where english and local languages mixed up. This one sounds Efik.

An adult woman decided that she doesn't want a child and is actively towing that path, while living ng a good life.
She clothes, shelters, feed and live life by herself, on her own terms.
She also has a father, mother, siblings and friends who are close to her.
But it's you, Taiye, that doesn't feed, nor related to her in any way that's so concerned about a decision she made in her sane mind.
What is wrong with y'all?

If your patient comes to you and say this condition feels like a death sentence, as a Dr, it's not your place to start doing grammar lesson.
The person who wears the shoes, knows where it's hurting... It's not everytime you must start quoting textbooks. Listen to your patient

The same men who say
"this jollof is killing me",
"my boss wants to kill me with work"
and
"Arsenal will be the death of me"
have suddenly discovered the dictionary because a woman described pregnancy as a death sentence.
You understand figures of speech perfectly. You just don't like it when a woman uses one to describe something that actually kills her.
Nigeria accounts for more than a quarter of all maternal deaths in the world.
So no, it's not "definitely die". But it's a gamble with her life every single time, and she's the one taking the risk while you argue about vocabulary.

My friend’s brother who lost his young wife early this year to the carelessness of a Nigerian anesthesiologist in port harcourt is on this app. That man has not healed since then.
Doctor gave the wife the anesthesia and closed for the day, forgetting her in there.
Yes, you heard that right.
By the time they discovered, mother and child gone.
How do you show up to go deliver a baby and end up dead due to the carelessness of a doctor who probably will be part of the persons trying to correct the figure of speech on if pregnancy is a death sentence or not?!
It is an incompetence issue, yes, but they’re too many cases asides that of neglect from medics.

My parents did not do me a favour by giving birth to me. I did not ask to be born or volunteer for the responsibilities that come with being human. Their decision to have a child came with responsibilities, just as a man's decision to start a family comes with the responsibility to provide, protect and nurture. We don't congratulate men for feeding children they chose to bring into the world, so why should childbirth become a lifelong debt children must repay?
The fact that women are biologically equipped to give birth does not make motherhood a charitable or compulsory act. Parenthood is a responsibility, not a favour. You can love, respect and appreciate your parents without accepting that you owe them your existence. And a woman is not less of a woman because she has chosen to remain childless.
Having established all of that, I hold your hands when I tell you this but God will undoubtedly punish you. It might not be today, it might not be tomorrow but God will punish you.
Replying to @AremoGemini
God go punish you for me. If your mum chose to be barren, will you be here saying nonsense?
In the olden days, most men had to work their asses off to provide for their family, some had to go to war for their countries just so their families could be safe. These men never cared

You're counting the wrong timeline. The world was already getting ready to wipe Paradis out right then, and the Rumbling stopped that. After it, Paradis got centuries. It grew into a modern city while the tree kept growing over Eren's grave.
And protecting the island wasn't the only thing it did. Mikasa killing Eren is what ended the Titan power, so Ymir finally got free and the 13-year curse disappeared. Eren told Armin that was part of the plan too.
The bombing at the end doesn't cancel any of that. The Rumbling was never going to keep Paradis safe forever. It bought them time, and a lot of it.
