"refusing to disclose exactly how much of the company Canadian taxpayers now own"
How is this in any way normal? Are we supposed to shrug and let this secret government investment in private companies gambit be the new norm?
Is Canada negotiating greater access to Europe's AI market, or greater exposure to Europe's regulatory and tax burdens?
Germany is “attracting” Canadian AI expertise and investment while simultaneously discussing how to tax the economic value that technology creates. Interesting.
Should it not be a requirement that government actually answer the question they are being asked?
Canada is facing an EU carbon tariff in the coming months that could affect $3B in Canadian exports.
Instead of fixing the issue, the PM has spent months distracting Canadians with talk of the EU.
As the EU Summit wraps today, will the carbon tariff have been lifted - OR - will the Liberals raise their industrial carbon tax to meet the new standard?
So, on top of already having trade deals in place with the EU, Canadian students already have access to Erasmus+. Yet, in two years, only 1007 students participated. Seems reasonable to tout that as one of the top benefits of giving away our sovereignty?
Have Canadians completely lost the ability to think critically?

“We’re in a real crisis when the ‘entrepreneurial class’ believes handouts from government are the win.”—Charles Lammam
Ottawa is taking an equity stake of up to $1.6B in Cohere, a company with no shortage of private investors.
It follows a $1.75B venture capital plan that entrepreneur groups applauded.
When our entrepreneurs cheer for handouts, 🇨🇦 has a problem

I love this headline because of how ridiculous it is 😅 so our PM is “signing deals” to be a part of a foreign union of states, of which we know NOTHING of the details. No debate or committee scrutiny in our own Parliament. Liberals even BLOCKED any kind of debate when brought up in committee by the Conservatives. And ppl like Iris here are clapping like seals without even knowing the simplest of implications on how this affects our actual sovereignty and autonomy. The “muh sovereignty” Elbozos crowd are a national security risk.

Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and the United Kingdom all stay out of the EU for this reason.
Pssst….Canadian students already have access to this program.
Students could get access to exchanges, academic opportunities through participation in the funding program. thestar.com/news/canada/cana…

🤥🤥🤥🤥 : Mark Carney & François-Philippe Champagne have told us for a year our GDP was forecast to be either the fastest growing, or second fastest growing economy, in the G7.
Every time they fail to meet their targets, they simply shift the goal posts. Now they claim Canada will be the 2nd fastest growing economy, in the G7, in 2027.
Why do Canadians like these liars so much? All they have done is lie & borrow money like a crack addict, with a no limit credit card.

The EU is working on Poland and Canada on the same day.
This is nuts.
This is what desperation looks like.
Class act.
Congratulations to Jennifer Whiteside on being named Interim Leader of the BC NDP.
I sat across the floor from her for a long time and she is a serious person who works hard for the people she represents.
A good opposition makes for a better government, and I expect her to hold us to account while we get to work delivering what we promised British Columbians.

No interview with Canadian media.
We spoke to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney about whether he's willing to wait out Trump's term before signing a new trade deal with the U.S.

Canadians deserve answers about the Prime Minister’s push for a closer relationship with the European Union.
Today, Conservatives moved a motion at committee to study how this closer relationship could affect Canada’s identity, culture, sovereignty, and the rights of Canadians.
The Liberals shut down debate.
These are important questions that deserve serious scrutiny, not silence.
Canadians have a right to know what this means for our country, our sovereignty, and our future. Why won't Liberals let this be studied?
When someone doesn’t answer a question and spits back key messages that are completely unrelated, they don’t want you to know the answer.
It must feel super shitty to have to wear a muzzle like that.
At what point do they have to answer a very basic question?
Why won’t the Liberals answer the question…
Will Canada be expected to participate in the EU migration pact?
How many non-citizens/ asylum seekers will Canada have to take on, and what is the impact on our hospitals, housing and job?
The prime minister is talking to foreign media, but he isn’t talking to our own media. Canadians deserve certainty @MichelleRempel

🇵🇱🇪🇺 So today's attempted coup in Poland by Donald Tusk was to prevent the country from leaving the EU. Joining the EU is meant to be a one-way-process, no matter how miserable and impoverished it makes the nation.
🇨🇦 Canadians, are you paying attention?
