I was honored to join more than 140 superintendents from across Missouri at today's State BOE meeting. 🤝
It was a valuable opportunity to connect with educational leaders from across the state and stay engaged in important conversations about public education in Missouri.

I just watched our commissioner of education resign in a room full of state superintendents.
“The Board’s agenda is better served by a different commissioner.”
When asked what is the biggest issue facing education, she immediately responded with “support”.

Trump: "We have 5 states where your child goes off to school as Tim and comes back as Tammy 3 or 4 days later. It's true. And teachers make a decision. 'Goodbye Timmy I love you so much, I'll see you later.' And you say, 'Where's my son? My son is in the hospital.' Can you imagine? They don't even need approval"

Rumor on the street is that one of them ⤵️ could be the next Missouri Commissioner of Education @MOEducation. Lots of late money is flowing to Missouri Senate candidates who are retiring or in safe seats from the Herzog Foundation companies. Herzog promotes private education and school-choice policies that help families pursue alternatives to traditional public schools. mec.mo.gov/MEC/Campaign_Fina… mec.mo.gov/MEC/Campaign_Fina… mec.mo.gov/MEC/Campaign_Fina… mec.mo.gov/MEC/Campaign_Fina… @MissouriSBA @MSTA @MissouriNEA @MoSenDems @moasbo @moassp @MoAESP #moleg @CRileySBJ @AnneliseHanshaw @sarahgritter @blythebernhard @MariaFBenevento @FortinoJodi @hiba_ahmad96 @jmannies

Trump threatened the EU to get them to draw down 100 million barrels of oil from their reserves because of the high gas and diesel prices his war has caused.
Trump reached an agreement with Putin for Russia to sell 4 million tons of diesel, bypassing sanctions, to try to ease diesel prices, which remain over $6 a gallon on average. This will help Putin fund his war crimes.
Trump announced a diesel tax deferral to try to temporarily ease the burden of high diesel prices in the US.
The result: the average price of a gallon of diesel increased today.
Trump created a mess with his pointless war in Iran, but he won't end the war because it would require him to admit defeat. So he threatens allies, makes deals with dictators, and creates a mess of tax revenue when America has a nearly $2 trillion deficit.
Trump isn't a leader. He is a catastrophe.

“It is all Biden's fault”
🔸Gas was $3.12 per gallon when Biden left office. It is $4.33 today.
🔸Diesel was $3.63 a gallon when Biden left office. It is $6.27 today.
🔸America was not at war when Biden left office. We are at war with Iran today.
🔸Inflation for 2024 was 2.9%. It is 3.4% today.
🔸Wage gains for 2024 were 3.9%. Today, 3.1%.
🔸Real Wage Gains were +1.0% in 2024. Today, they are -0.3%.
🔸GDP growth was 2.8% in 2024. In the second quarter of 2026, it was 1.5%.
🔸The number of uninsured Americans decreased by almost 1 million over Biden's term. It has increased by 3 million since he left office.
🔸Home electricity prices have risen 12% since Biden left office.
🔸The native-born employment rate has decreased by ~1.7% since December 2024—the opposite of what a big deportation effort was supposed to do.
You can't blame the last administration for everything bad happening 20 months into a new administration that enacted tariffs, started a war, and kicked people off their healthcare to give more tax breaks to corporations and billionaires.

You’re asking for donations for breaking the law while forcing Missouri taxpayers to pay for lawsuits because you broke the law?
Maybe instead of standing for politicians screwing us over you could consider standing for Missourians, at least every once in a while.
We stand with Secretary of State Denny Hoskins.
Missouri voters already cast their ballots in the August primary using the Missouri First Map. Now, just weeks before the general election, the Missouri Supreme Court has ordered the state to abandon those districts and conduct November’s election under a different map.
Secretary Hoskins is right to keep fighting. Missouri’s elections should not be thrown into chaos, and the votes of more than a million Missourians should not be disregarded.
We stand with @DLHoskins, @AGCHanaway , and their fight to defend the Missouri First Map all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. 🇺🇸

His supporters always say the same thing to me - “Hey Joe, you always call Trump a fascist. That’s bullshit. Give me just one example.” Every day there are examples, here’s just one example from this morning - he doesn’t like the results of certain polls, so he orders the government to go after the pollsters. Something any good tyrant, dictator, or fascist would do.👇
