I don't talk about it as often, but yeah mc is obviously the biggest brocon. I usually find myself talking about siscon the siscon being a siscon more bc I see people insisting /he/ never wanted to be her brother more often than I see people saying she isn't in love with her brother. I guess I do find it interesting that I tend to witness morality police being more defensive of censorleb's "character" as "he never wanted the icky label". Is it just that mc functions as a self insert for people so they tend to just see her as an extension of themselves, so it goes without saying? It goes without saying for me, but that's because it's just very blatant in the text that she acts like his sister. The version of mc we get with him is very specifically tailored to reflect the nature of their bond (with less catholic guilt which obviously makes more sense for him to have given the dynamic). Even the way she antagonises him and talks to him in moments etc is very little sister coded, and her frustration with him also comes from that place of a little sister being told what to do (and not wanting to listen) by her older brother, but she never resents the role itself, ever. I had more to say I'm sure but I am writing this during an afternoon when I am so sleepy, so have this:
