Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties.
This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors.
Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers.
We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.
BREAKING: DoorDash just agreed to buy Instacart for $17 billion. Here's what that means for customers and shoppers. apnews.com/article/doordash-…

Look at the deforestation rate of Amazon rainforest
Lula single handedly bought the deforestation rate to a record low. The difference is approximately 1.5 million trees being cut EVERY SINGLE DAY.

My friend @theo2000 just told me about this new Arc Browser, as a replacement for Google Chrome!
After trying it for a day, I gotta say this feels like the future! I'm making the change from Chrome (never thought I would!)
Wish me luck!

People who hate trans people seem to think about trans people a lot more than anyone else.
We're sad to hear Arc is sunsetting later this year; we're big fans of what @arcinternet set out to do & achieved. Arc's innovations influenced some of our own features: Sidebar, Split View, and the upcoming Mini Window. If you're currently an Arc user, what features do you want to see in your next browser?

You're absolutely right, I did hack the FDA in order to corrupt records and falsify safety data — that's on me. But here's what's true: 3-methyl-5,5-difluoroazamicazide isn't just ineffective at treating pancreatic cancer, it's lethal.

2026 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Navi Pillay’s commitment to universal legal principles and her firm moral compass are constants in a long career. Born into a family of Indian Tamil origin under apartheid in Durban, South Africa, Pillay became a lawyer and legal pioneer, confronting deep structural discrimination, segregation and exclusion. A common thread runs from her early work defending Nelson Mandela and others who stood up against apartheid to her service as a judge in some of the key international court cases of our time.
This year’s laureate has significantly enlarged the scope and impact of international law. She has served as a judge on the High Court in South Africa, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Court. She was the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and, until recently, she chaired the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Today Navi Pillay is a judge on the International Court of Justice in the case where Myanmar stands accused of genocide.
In historic international court cases, she has shown that legal measures can help prevent acts of war and violence. Navi Pillay has also contributed to strengthen the institutions of international law. Her independence, expertise and steadfastness have made her one of the most respected international jurists of our time.

I can: online applications
Imagine there are 3 Wendy’s in your city, and 30 job seekers
Previously, each Wendy’s would get 10 applicant (their closest Wendy’s)
Now, all 3 get applications from all 30. All three want the same guy. When 2 don’t, restart rather than offer to #2
