I can finally share a prototype of the AI-generated art installation I’m building for my office using 16-segment displays.
Craig is on a mission to teach you about how powerful ChatGPT Sites actually is. He's doing a whole series on the backend capabilities of Sites. He'll be talking about things like how sites uses persistent storage, auth, connectors, etc. This one is about Sites + MCP.
Go follow Craig, and let us know what you want to know about Sites!
Turns out building with @ChatGPT Sites is pretty addicting. So is clicking cookies. 🍪
I made a little demo that does both, with a database and an MCP server so ChatGPT and Codex can join in.
Come hang out. I hope it gives you an idea for something fun to build.
Chapters:
00:00 A cookie clicker for humans and AI
00:27 The prompt I started with
00:41 Saving clicks in a database
01:16 Adding MCP tools
01:29 MCP in plain language
02:09 Testing with MCP Inspector
03:11 Asking ChatGPT for the click count
03:40 Clicking a cookie with Codex CLI
04:10 What will you build?
someone told me today that ChatGPT Sites solved “the last mile problem” for them, and i loved hearing that. it’s why we built Sites. you shouldn’t have to know all the lingo just to get something you made into someone else’s hands.
I'm doing another search for #awesomesites but looking for more lifestyle, productivity, and utilities sites. If you're building sites for lifestyle stuff, I wanna see it! Comment or use #awesomesites to get on my radar.

After ~2 decades making PowerPoints, Sites are the next step. Corporate world is ready to evolve
Your own database, automated updates, custom HTML designs and tools, with sharing and collaboration too
Try the Site plugin in ChatGPT. You have no idea where that’ll take you 🤓

In the corporate world, everything is PPTX. Especially since it has all the features regarding sharing with the correct access rights + collaboration which you don't have in HTML.
On my own usage I realize that I create more slides now that is easy to use PowerPoint.
Yesterday my son requested to listen to Nina Simone “spell on you…” unprompted, entirely random. And I think I just won at parenting.
We’re also removing the cap on how many Sites you can create on ChatGPT Plus and Pro. We've been listening and we want to keep making it easier for you to build whatever you want.
Have fun building ChatGPT Sites!
Sites is now generally available for Enterprise, with US and EU data residency for new Sites in eligible workspaces.
Build team apps with databases and authentication.
@kagigz shows how to schedule updates and let teammates use their own connected data with Plugins in Sites:
Was talking about this at a panel discussion last night. We need to think more and harder about how ai solves problems like this for real people outside “the bubble.” (Tho cost of living in sf is a massive issue, too)

the wonderful side effect of AI is that once we're collectively fatigued from all the cool "design details" we will finally start to understand design as how it works, not how it looks

Dots ➕ Sites 💜
Replying to @simpsoka
Yep! My dot & I built Personal Bridge: a MCP plugin hosted on Sites, paired with an app on my Mac. It lets my dot read iCloud email, calendar, reminders & iMessages. Now adding permission-controlled sending & editing, + MCP Events so updates can reach my dot w/o constant polling.
Are you using plugins with ChatGPT Sites? I'd love to talk with you if you're game. dms open, reply in comments.

imo one of the underhyped launches of @OpenAI dev day were all the rad updates to Sites, especially connected data + site-as-infra
which is why it was so fun to sit down with @simpsoka (product lead) and talk about the practical + fun ways she uses sites.
in this live ep we cover:
- how sites can use your connected enterprise data + user permissions to create micro SaaS everyone can use
- fun consumer use cases, like a Spotify playlist sans baby music
- the internals of Sites + how it can host so much more than just webpages
anyone struggling with "where the f do we deploy all these internal tools" should pay attention 👇

I'm taking the Sadie Sink comment as a compliment. I'm glad I could provide @clairevo with some eye candy. youtube.com/watch?v=kz5Cpomk…
