pray for my mother if you guys can, nothing bad has happened, but she has verbalized the difficulty of living with the pain that she has (doctors think it may be fibromyalgia, but we donโt know yet). pray for her conversion too if you can, she believes in God and in Jesus Christ, but she hasnโt been a member of any church faithfully for a lot of years nor truly lived as a christian.

Agreed that Met. Hilarion is not reliable, but if recognition of sacramental reality outside the canonical boundaries of the Church is โecumenismโ than we got major problems:

This is like citing cardinal Marx to claim the Catholic Church officially teaches being LGBT is not a sin.
A few things though since I know youโve done zero research on the subject. Heโs not discussing anything but his thoughts on how the MP receives priests. It should also be noted, Met Hilarion (though he has his pockets of supporters) after numerous scandals, statements, and alleged moral failures (they found c*caine in his car) was exiled to Brazil in disgrace.
In addition: You certainly can find modern bishops who are ecumenists (Lord have mercy) but we have no ecumenist saints.
