Films I saw in cinemas in 2024, hopefully an excessively long thread. 1) The Boy and the Heron. Brilliant, dreamlike meditation on family, grief, war, Miyazaki’s own oeuvre and the succession crisis at Studio Ghibli. So good I’ll see it again in the dub to compare notes.
