Martyr Sido was among the first to set the Rojava Revolution in motion. I was fortunate to be among the first to accompany him, and to have walked alongside him on our revolutionary journey until the day he was martyred.
He was a leader in times of seriousness and responsibility, a friend in moments of peace, and a brother in times of hardship and need. We learned so much from him: patience, humility, and the true meaning of leadership.
Today, we renew our pledge and oath to our martyrs, affirming that we will never abandon their path. We will remain faithful to their sacrifices and continue along the path they paved until we achieve our goal: the liberation of our land and our people.

HPG Publishes Names of Nine Deceased Members from Rojhelat
The People’s Defence Forces (HPG) has published the names, photographs and life stories of nine members from Rojhelat who lost their lives. The group paid tribute to them and offered its condolences to their families.
According to Firat News Agency (ANF), the statement released on Thursday, 5 November 2026, named Mohammad Fevzi, Zahra Esmaili, Saman Mansouri, Arish Mohammadi, Serkeft Qaderi, Khabat Yousefi, Armin Saeed Rad, Adib Peshraw Shirini and Mashallah Rajabi. Six were from Sanandaj, and one each was from Bukan, Salmas and Kamyaran.
The statement said they lost their lives at different times in Rojava, Avashin, Zagros, Qandil, Metina, Zap and Gare. Their life stories described their family backgrounds and activities, including the involvement of some in fighting ISIS in Rojava, Sinjar and Makhmour.
The HPG expressed sympathy with their families and the people of Rojhelat, and said it would continue their struggle.
