LOL
Calling it now.
AI is going to usher in a whole new era of software development. I’m calling it Software as a Service.
People will want to use these tools but they’ll realize they don’t want to spend the time to maintain and update them over time.
This will create a whole new category of businesses and entrepreneurs that can take on that task for businesses that would rather work on their core products.
AI is changing everything. This is a whole new paradigm of thinking about the way we interact with software.
Sanju is just way too inconsistent man.
32 times out of the 73 he has batted in T20is, he has scored 10 or fewer runs (44%)
That number is 22/69 (32%) for Abhishek and 23/68 (34%) for Ishan

The EDF (Export Declaration Form) rules are now in effect, and it seems like RBI and banks have conspired to create a new hell. Or actually 5 hells.
I consult for an American company. Raised October invoice. Received the Inward remittance. And bang! Mail from @HDFC_Bank detailing everything needed before the payment can be processed.
Let me tell you what the 5 hells are:
1. The hell of confusion – RBI clarified last month that the EDF rules do not apply to individuals. But looks like they haven’t told the banks. And CAs also don’t seem to know. There’s no official communication on who is exempt. Last I checked, I was an individual. No company, no LLP. But HDFC still wants me to file the EDF to credit my payment.
2. The hell of complexity – See the attached pic of the form the bank has sent in excel. It has 5 sheets. To be filled and submitted. Some abstruse acronyms like “AD” - no clue what it means. Some fields are mandatory. Some fields are to be filled by the bank. No idea which is what. And it needs a physical signature. Which leads to...
3. The hell of paperwork - They also sent a pdf with a bunch of request letters. I’m supposed to choose the right letter, print, sign, scan and submit. Creating more paper today is incredibly silly. And, I suppose, someone in the bank will have to upload all this somewhere. Reminds me of those hand-filled immigration forms. Pointless.
4. The hell of repetition – At least for me, most of the details are constant. One client, one payment. If it’s a one-time exercise, fine. I’ll grit my teeth and get it done. But no. These details have to be given month after month. Else… no payment will be credited.
5. The hell of unpreparedness – It would have been simple enough for RBI or HDFC to create an online portal for this. With dropdowns, saved formats, contextual help, etc. to at least make this easy. But that would be too convenient, no? So, they’ve chosen to dump the entire burden on the taxpayer.
I have no opinion or understanding of why this is needed. Maybe it is critical information. Okay! But why make the process so confusing and painful?
And poor communication has meant that the banks have just passed on the pain to the exporter, and even CAs can’t help.
Basically RBI & HDFC feel I should consult less, and comply more. Maybe my client will also agree :)
Impressive!
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

David Fincher said that a filmmaker's ability to articulate their intent is their most important creative skill.
Same for AI film-making.
"Will AI take my job?" is the wrong question.
The pink slip is a trailing indicator.
Long before the job, one loses leverage & pricing power.
That squeeze has already started. Read on ⬇️
1) Baseline expectation of productivity has increased & many unfortunately just can’t keep up. In fact, the human nervous system has become the bottleneck in an accelerated pipeline.
2) More output per worker itself means fewer workers are needed - there simply isn’t enough demand to keep up with this sudden growth in supply.
3) Companies are OK with "good enough" being 90% cheaper. That inevitably resets the price for everyone.
4) AI (or a colleague who does more) is absorbing the work of leavers. Replacing a knowledge worker is now easier, so retaining them matters that much less. You don't need to quit to feel this.
5) Juniors are getting hired only if they can use AI to do senior-level work.
6) Intuitive judgement, hitherto locked in the heads of seniors, is being written into reusable prompts & files that companies own. Makers are becoming checkers & checkers simply don't make as much.
7) Full time jobs are becoming projects for freelancers/part-timers.
Together, these forces hit the source of a knowledge & creative worker's leverage: SCARCITY. When your skills are scarce, you can walk away. When you can walk away, you can command your price.
Most blue-collar workers have little of that leverage, as is evident in their pay scales & work conditions. Unless a license protects it, most white-collared & creative work is inevitably headed to the same levels of leverage.
Your employer is gaining alternatives while you’re losing yours. The impact of AI will first show in heavier workloads, smaller raises, fewer interviews, longer tenures, and lesser room to say no.
All of us laptop workers had a great run in the last 3 decades or so. Get ready as the tables turn.
"Will AI erode my bargaining power & my price?" is a more urgent question.
Wait what?

One way to view Amazon’s ad business is as a vulnerability to agents that don’t care about them
Another way is that without ads, Amazon is basically a massive loss-making public service to get you your package as fast as possible
And that’s true even on top of the most efficient logistics operation in the world
This dynamic is true for many marketplace models at the limit
The revealed preference of consumers is that they’d rather see some ads than have to pay for shipping or get their stuff slower
It’s totally reasonable to want an agent to shop on your behalf and just find the best stuff at the lowest price, but something in the cost structure has to give

Marketers: The next wave of founders will be marketers, distribution is the new moat.
PMs: Taste is the moat, and its easier than ever to build the wrong thing. Now is the age of the PM.
Eng: You need systems thinking and technical chops to solve hard problems and wield agents effectively at scale. Engineers have more leverage than ever.
I suspect good people in each discipline will remain valuable and there isn't one role poised to become unicorns en masse.
I do think its good to be skilled at more than 1 discipline, but I am not sure any one of these disciplines has a leg up over the others in that regard
