There's senators standing by to support Trump making recess appointments so Democrats don't get to fill them next year. This is all waiting on Thune.
In the absence of an agreement between the Senate and White House about recess appointments, regular pro forma sessions are the norm in the modern Senate, with majority-party senators each taking turns presiding—even if we’d rather be doing actual work in session. I’ve been in close contact with the White House in recent months on the issue, and have made clear that the moment the White House is ready to make a move in that direction, I will support them in supporting recess appointments and opposing pro forma sessions. That moment has not yet arrived, but when it does I will step into action.

The IRS seized $242 million from 2,500 Americans for depositing their own legally earned cash under $10,000. 86% of the seizures were civil, no conviction required. A Treasury audit found 91% of the money it could trace was legitimate. But they just took it.
The IRS also looted $940,000 from a Navy veteran’s gun store without ever charging him with a crime. When Andrew Clyde deposited cash under $10,000 because his insurance only covered that amount on hand, the IRS similarly accused him of “structuring” and froze the account. After he spent over $100,000 fighting them, they kept $50,000 in a settlement. Before that, this IRS tactic targeted 2,500+ cases and pulled more than $242 million between 2005 and 2012. A 2017 Treasury review later found that in 91% of the seizures they could trace, the money had been earned legally. Only after Congress passed a law partly named for Clyde did the practice stop, and voters sent him to the House the next year.

If you recall, when Democrats were in power they were pushing for legislation that would flag the IRS of any deposit>$600, which was essentially EVERYONE. They were going after gig economy... Another reason they needed 85k more agents. It was NEVER about the BILLIONAIRES!

The United States appears to be clearing the battlefield for a larger military campaign against the Islamic Republic. In recent days, American forces have been systematically degrading the regime’s air-defence and missile belt along the Strait of Hormuz. These are not isolated retaliatory strikes. They constitute a sustained shaping operation against surface-to-air missile batteries, associated radars, anti-ship systems and mobile launchers across Qeshm, Larak, Sirik, Jask and the southern Iranian coast. President Trump confirmed that American forces recently destroyed a newly constructed Iranian anti-aircraft position on Qeshm Island within approximately five to 15 minutes. Similar explosions have been reported across the area for several consecutive nights. In military terms, the United States is conducting suppression and destruction of enemy air defences, known as SEAD and DEAD, alongside counter-force operations against missile launchers. The objective is to prevent the IRGC from rebuilding a coherent defensive and maritime-denial network around the Strait of Hormuz. American forces are also reportedly expanding their use of decoy drones. These systems are not merely distractions. They are tools for dismantling the enemy’s electronic order of battle. When a decoy enters defended airspace, Iranian radar operators face a choice. They can remain silent and allow an unidentified aircraft to approach, or activate their systems and attempt an interception. Once a radar begins transmitting, American intelligence assets can identify its position, operating frequency, detection range, reaction time and engagement procedure. If the battery fires, it expends a scarce interceptor and reveals the location of its launcher. That information immediately improves the American target bank. Repeated probes therefore force the regime to choose between remaining blind or exposing its defences to destruction. Each night produces more electronic intelligence, consumes additional Iranian resources and reduces the number of surviving systems available for a future confrontation. The geography is deliberate. Qeshm and Larak overlook the shipping lanes through the Strait of Hormuz. Sirik and Jask extend the regime’s surveillance, missile and naval reach into the Gulf of Oman. Systems positioned across this belt can threaten commercial shipping, American aircraft, naval vessels and regional bases. A larger American campaign against missile-production facilities, IRGC command centres, nuclear-related infrastructure or deeper military targets would require relatively secure approach corridors. Launching high-volume strike packages while the coastal integrated air-defence system remains intact would unnecessarily expose fighters, bombers, drones and cruise missiles to greater risk. It would also preserve the regime’s ability to retaliate against ships and disrupt the strait. The current operation is reducing that risk before any decision on broader action is executed. It is producing three essential military effects: ▪️ Physical degradation: Destroying launchers, radars and air-defence batteries before they can participate in a larger engagement. ▪️ Target development: Forcing surviving systems to reveal their locations and behaviour so they can be struck rapidly later. ▪️ Tempo control: Keeping the IRGC reactive while American tankers, carriers and strike assets maintain the initiative. The timing is also significant. American restraint during the midterm election period has ended. Limited strikes are now continuing while additional capabilities move into the region and the administration evaluates larger options. This does not prove that a major campaign has been ordered. Shaping operations can also be used to maintain deterrence and protect maritime movement without proceeding to full escalation. But the military logic is unmistakable. The United States is clearing the outer defensive layer, mapping what survives and keeping the southern threat envelope suppressed. If a larger campaign begins, the work required to open its air and maritime corridors is already underway.
🚨BREAKING: American fighters are reportedly operating over Qeshm as explosions and fires erupt across the Islamic Republic’s strategic military corridor from the Strait of Hormuz to Bandar Jask. Iranian state media have confirmed explosions or explosion-like sounds on Qeshm Island and around Sirik, Jask and Bandar Abbas. Images attributed to Jask show flames and a large column of smoke rising over the area. Opposition and OSINT channels are reporting American strikes. Iranian outlets have offered incomplete or conflicting explanations, including possible Iranian military activity around the strait. The precise targets and damage remain unclear. President Trump has confirmed limited American action in the area. He said American forces conducted “minor strikes” and destroyed a recently constructed Iranian air-defence system on Qeshm Island within approximately 15 minutes. The action reportedly followed Iranian forces threatening or firing at American aircraft operating around the Strait of Hormuz. Tonight’s activity appears to form part of the same continuing campaign against the regime’s air-defence, surveillance, missile and naval infrastructure along Iran’s southern coast. Qeshm is Iran’s largest island and occupies a commanding position along the northern side of the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC can use the island for radar coverage, air-defence batteries, anti-ship missiles and surveillance of commercial shipping and American military movements. Bandar Jask serves a different but complementary function. Located on the Gulf of Oman east of the strait, it hosts Iranian naval facilities supporting surface vessels, patrol craft and submarine operations. Its position allows the regime to project power into the Arabian Sea without remaining confined inside the Persian Gulf. Jask is also the terminus of the approximately 1,000-kilometre Goreh–Jask oil pipeline. The Islamic Republic built it to create an alternative export route capable of bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. The pipeline has a stated capacity of approximately one million barrels per day, although actual exports through Jask have remained extremely limited. It is not currently a viable replacement for Kharg Island, but its strategic purpose is clear: provide the regime with an external oil outlet if its facilities inside the Persian Gulf become unusable. Together, Qeshm and Jask form critical points in the regime’s strategy for controlling the strait while protecting its naval and energy infrastructure from confinement within it. The Islamic Republic has repeatedly claimed that it controls the Strait of Hormuz and can determine who passes through it. American aircraft operating over Qeshm and strikes against air-defence systems directly challenge that claim. This remains limited kinetic activity rather than a confirmed return to full-scale war. But the geographic pattern is significant. Pressure is being applied simultaneously to the regime’s eyes over the strait, its weapons around the shipping lanes and its naval infrastructure beyond them. The Islamic Republic built Qeshm to watch the strait and Jask to bypass it. Both are now inside the American target envelope. [@Rppress0]

SpaceX and Tesla have prospered in Texas, because we were not constantly operating under an oppressive and extractive state government. And I need to be close to the factories, so that I can walk the floor in person. That’s why the first major SpaceX factory was in LA and first major Tesla factory was in SF Bay Area. As California became increasingly difficult, due to extreme taxes and overregulation, we moved our major domestic expansions and HQ to Texas.

Bill Maher and Coleman Hughes finish each other's sentences for 3 minutes straight as they lay out how teachers' unions wrecked public education. The MS NOW host thought she could sit this one out quietly. Then Maher turned and lobbed a grenade right at her. MAHER: "The reason why they don't know that socialism didn't work... is because NOBODY taught them in school." HUGHES: "A lot of kids go to underperforming public schools, which is our euphemism for government-funded daycare centers with occasional school-like activities." MAHER: "I knew they weren't learning anything, but like you said, it's like a daycare center and not a good one." HUGHES: "And I think people on the left want to blame funding because that's the easy issue. But the truth is, this school was well funded. You know, it's 50,000 per pupil at this school. The problem isn't the funding. It's that you can't fire anyone bad." MAHER: "Yes.... The problem is the union, the teachers union, is too powerful. We've seen it in results in states where the union is less powerful, the schools do better." HUGHES: "I call it the chalkboard mafia." MAHER: "The problem, the unions protect bad schools and bad teachers, and the party protects the union. It's almost impossible in a lot of these cities to fire a teacher. I mean literally like you could sell drugs to a kid and it's got to be two offenses before we get—" HUGHES: "It wasn't that long ago that the unions lobbied for a law in New York State to ban even collecting data that you would use to assess which teachers are better than others. You can't even get the data. So obviously the teachers union serves the teachers, they don't serve the students, and if you're a Democrat or any American that's serious about public school reform, you have to challenge the teachers union, period." MAHER: "And I think in this school, where they were learning nothing with no supervision and absentee principals and teachers, I think spending 50,000 dollars per year per student, it's not money. That's what you always hear from the left. 'Oh, it's underfunded.' It's not the funding. The funding isn't the issue." HUGHES: "No, it hasn't been for a very long time." MAHER: "I think this is the kind of thing I will NEVER hear on MS NOW." ALI VITALI: "I think you hear a lot of perspectives on MS NOW." MAHER: "I don't ever hear that one." CONTEXT: Maher and Hughes aren't making this up. On the latest Nation's Report Card, high school seniors posted the lowest reading and math scores ever recorded on the test. And getting rid of bad teachers is nearly impossible. Federal survey data shows the average school district dismissed just 0.2 tenured teachers for poor performance in a year. That's roughly 1 in 500. Meanwhile, students do better long-term in states where unions have less power. A 2019 study in the American Economic Journal found that boys who went to school in states that forced districts to bargain with teachers' unions went on to earn about $2,100 LESS per year as adults compared to boys in states without those laws. If a business failed this badly, someone would get fired. As Hughes put it: "The teachers union serves the teachers; they don't serve the students."

Just four days ago, 59 percent of Granite Staters voted for the property tax cap. Now, the first order of business for the House Democrats seems to be ripping away the property tax cap their voters themselves enacted. Bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if this pays off for them.

Exactly 😂 Tesla has no government contracts and President Trump ended federal incentives for electric vehicles. SpaceX contracts with the government are BOTH the best product AND the lowest price! Moreover government revenue will be less than 10% of SpaceX revenue this quarter and less then 5% a year from now. Happy to cancel any that the government doesn’t want. Just say the word!
Elon please send this January 1: Dear Senate & House Democrats, Many of you criticize my companies receiving federal contracts. I hereby offer to cancel. Please publish a list of each contract to cancel with any required agency consent, and we will cancel promptly. Sincerely, Elon Musk

this Peter Thiel backed startup says its AI can find a 14 point IQ gap between your embryos it's called Nucleus and their tagline is literally "have your best baby" here's how it happens: > you do a round of IVF and end up with a bunch of embryos > you send Nucleus the DNA data for each one, up to 20 embryos > its AI reads more than 7 million spots in each embryo's DNA and compares them to what it learned from more than a million people > then each embryo gets scored on things like IQ, disease risk, hair color and eye color > you pick the one you want implanted scoring your embryos starts at about $6,000 every one of these embryos is naturally yours btw, with zero gene editing involved America's main medical genetics group says this is moving too fast with too little evidence but that hasn't slowed Nucleus down at all when the founder announced this new AI, he wrote "AI is rapidly getting smarter... Now, humanity can too." they even put ads on the NYC subway that said "IQ is 50% genetic" lol personally i feel kinda uneasy about this but IVF got called playing god too, and now nobody blinks at it so for better or for worse, i think this will soon be accepted as normal

"Unless it's a top 20 university, it really doesn't matter where you go." Best advice you can give to your kids, only go to university if the job you want requires a university degree and Ai is not nuking that career path. 🚨BREAKING: Supreme Court just handed Trump the immigration equivalent of a nuclear button. In a 5–4 ruling, they confirmed he can use the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to treat Tren de Aragua as what it is: an invading foreign force. That means: • No more endless appeals • No more activist judges blocking deportations • Venezuelan gang members can be rounded up and shipped straight to El Salvador’s mega-prison This is a historic win for borders, sovereignty and law & order in the United States. The only people upset today are the open-borders globalists who never thought this day would come.
