Michel Ancel initially considered and used an Atari ST to adapt and bring Rayman to life. And I would like that to be made a reality using an "Aᴛᴀʀɪ Fᴀʟᴄᴏɴ 030"
It would be great to see it. And a good opportunity to see what Falcon 030 is capable of.

🚨 Proof of Concept: High-Performance Graphics on a Stock #Atari STFM! 🚨
In this video, I’m showing something cool:
🎮 A stock Atari STFM — no accelerators, no STe hardware, no blitter. Just running at the classic 8 MHz. The only extras connected are my @Sidecartridge Multidevice and my other gadgets — nothing more.
🧠 But what’s happening isn’t ordinary. As soon as it’s powered on, the machine runs a demo — rendered entirely by the RP2040 inside the Pico W on the Multidevice.
🚀 The demo is a proof of concept: it’s feasible to run a 50 fps horizontal/vertical scrolling scene, entirely driven by the external coprocessor.
✔️ Every frame, the background is refreshed — just like in a real side-scrolling game.
✔️ It displays up to 30 animated, masked, pixel-scrolling sprites, each 48x48 px.
✔️ There’s also overlay text rendered in real-time.
✔️ And again — no blitter, no STe, no accelerators.
🧪 The code still has a lot of room for optimization. Based on what I see now, 50 animated sprites at 50 fps seems totally within reach.
🎧 Even more exciting — the Atari ST still has enough CPU cycles left to stream digitized audio from the RP2040.
💡 Why all this?
Because I want to run Doom on this little gadget — and play it on the ST at 50 fps.
And now… I genuinely think it’s possible.

While we had a licensed Manic Miner on the #SAMCoupe we didn't have Jet Set Willy.
I created my own trilogy of games in a similar style - Money Bags. Grab both Money Bags 1 and Manic Miner on the coverdisk with SAM Revival issue 9!

Just had to look at the issue to see what the exclusive missing screen was, as had only heard of 'April Showers' in Your Spectrum which added an extra screen to JSW. This in C&VG is a type in listing for a BASIC game by Matthew Smith - Andre's Night Off.

🚨 New Release - SAA1099P Soundchip Interface for RC2014 and compatibles.
The SAM Coupe has been my computer of choice for the last 32 years so bringing its sound chip, the Philips SAA1099P, over to the RC2014 and compatible ecosystem is a no brainer, especially following a request asking if it was possible, so here it is!
The SAA1099P can considered to be similar to using two AY sound chips: It provides 6 sound generators (31Hz to 7.81KHz). 2 noise generators and 2 envelope controllers. Separate volume for left and right volumes of each channel. On the interface the I/O port used can be selected with jumpers to avoid clashes with other hardware you have, as well as for using multiple cards in the same system.

In the video the music playing is from the 'Lyra 3' megademo on the SAM Coupe, by the legendary chiptune musician Ziutek from the E.S.I. demogroup.

Flappy Bird for Elk/Beeb WIP. Second screen buffer is in. Scenery moves at 25fps, bird at 50fps (!). It is smoother than this video shows. No collision detection yet. Satisfyingly masked graphics everywhere, no XOR-plotting for a change! 🤓
