New paper: Quantum Approximation Complexity of Classical Optimization Problems
Can quantum computers produce better approximate solutions that classical ones?

Once you understand that the point is to demoralize you, it makes more sense.
They don't care about competent candidates. In fact, the worse the better. They want the worst people they can find who are still electable in any given race.
In deep blue jurisdictions that means they can run the absolute dregs.
In tighter races they still need to find candidates who are capable of at least pretending to be functional humans through election day.
But make no mistake -- the worse the better.
Demoralization of the people who still care is the objective.
The party doesn't care because every Democrat votes identically, and they all get their legislation from the same NGOs and think tanks who write the same bills for every Dem legislature in the entire country.
All they need is someone offensive to the sensibilities of normal Americans to vote yes on whatever slop the party churns out for them.

They are destroying the old Canada, that we knew & loved, on purpose.
Carney says he will immediately give citizenship to 200,000 migrants already in Canada PLUS raise the immigration rate to 380,000 at the same time as unemployment is rising beyond 6.7% and jobs are disappearing. And Carney says he will add $733 BILLION to the debt over the next 5 years.
Can anyone explain what is happening?

CA has done this before in the '70s. Death penalty commuted to Life, then Life was lessened to 20 yrs. then good behavior release. 3 people previously on death row murdered again.

Lay people don't appreciate how much of post-1960s scholarship has been invalidated by ancient DNA, nor the extent to which it's vindicated earlier scholars, nor how generations have been mal-educated.
The post-60s errors are all in a single direction too: they interpret evidence through a model of human nature that predicts behaviors that run contrary to everyday intuition and observation. For example, for decades, dogma was that violence was rare until the bronze age. Of course, violence was, in fact, ubiquitous. Pots changed because people changed, not because (as scholars asserted with straight faces somehow) ideas diffused through word of mouth.
You can draw your own conclusions about why the academy pushed this model so hard, but it happened at exactly the same time the academy was pushing tons of other ideas inconsistent with an intuitive understanding of human nature.
Ancient DNA has made late 20th century revisionist historiography untenable, but other disciplines are still pushing related nonsense. All of it must be defunded and rebuilt.

One of the best things you can do to nourish your soul is find a hobby that has nothing to do with technology. Paint. Surf. Play guitar. Hike. Collect. Garden. Do anything that gets you away from a screen and back into the physical world.

After years of screaming about the "Handmaid's Tale", now liberal women have voted in a man whose wife is forced to dress like this.
Astonishing.

Hey @grok . The World Trade Center was bombed in 1993. Did a friend of the mastermind of that bombing just win an election in New Jersey?

it's needing anti-vehicle barriers to keep people from murdering people in christmas markets.

Broken Windows resulted in the greatest crime reduction of all time, including the reduction of a murder rate that increased 565% over 30 years.
This is the problem with electing DSA marxists. They are completely immune to facts.
Tisch’s “public safety” strategy: Go to most disinvested areas, ticket people for being poor. When they can’t pay fines, issue warrants. Then say, “Look we’re catching all these dangerous criminals with arrest warrants.” This is broken windows policing.

So it’s not skilled immigration, is it
It’s importing voters, just like every leftist government is doing
