i have $8,400 of credit card debt so i created a grok bot and told it "this is your problem now"
day 6: the debt is $7,912 and i haven't done anything except watch
i named the bot Reaper. it has its own computer in the cloud, access to my email, and one instruction: "report progress daily. don't ask me for money"
honestly i didn't expect much. i just wanted to stop being the only one who knew the number
first night it read 14 months of statements. then it went to work:
→ found $67/month in subscriptions i forgot existed. killed them the same hour
→ emailed the card company's retention team. two escalations later my APR dropped from 26.99% to 19.4%
→ found a 0% balance transfer, 12 months, $89 fee. did the math, moved $6,100
→ disputed two charges from 2025. won one: $118 back
→ listed my playstation and two monitors on ebay. i found out from the confirmation email
→ every dollar it frees goes straight to principal, automatically
every night at 9pm, telegram: "debt: $7,912. freed today: $31. nothing needed from you"
the playstation thing annoyed me for exactly one minute. then i checked when i last used it. november
the bot costs $200 a month. it freed $488 in week one
projected zero: march 11. i've stopped opening my banking app. the bot opens it for me
should i give it my student loans next?

Google leads Turing TTS. Does
that make it the voice you should put in your product?
Maybe. But you still have to ask what your users need that this test doesn't measure.
Drop 2/15
Are we actually measuring the things we ultimately want our voice AI models to achieve?
The best AI voices are becoming hard to tell apart.
From each other. Not from humans.
🚀 Introducing Turing TTS: an evaluation that measures how often human listeners mistake AI-generated speech for real human speech.
We tested leading TTS models against real human speech. Even the best model fooled listeners only ~10% of the time.
With Turing TTS, we hope to contribute to a broader discussion within the research community about how we measure progress in voice AI.
If one of our goals is to develop speech that is indistinguishable from human speech, how well do our current evaluation methods capture progress toward that goal?
We don’t claim that Turing TTS is the right way forward, or that human indistinguishability should be the goal of every TTS system.
Rather, we hope these findings encourage the community to collectively examine whether blind pairwise human evaluations of naturalness are sufficient, and what else we might need to measure.

I LAUNCHED A GROK BOT TERMINAL OVERNIGHT, GAVE IT $44.82 AND STOPPED ASKING AI WHAT IT WOULD DO. BY MORNING IT HAD $11,643.21 AND SIX AGENTS LOGGING EVERY TRADE
I spent a year asking agents what they'd trade and watching the chat scroll. Last weekend I built the thing that actually trades, in Grok Bot, with no code I touched by hand.
The six agents share one screen, each one job:
> scanner reads new token pairs and volume spikes
> rug check filters suspicious tokens before anything executes
> sizer sets position from account equity, not a fixed ticket
> executor opens and closes with slippage tracking
> logger writes the reason behind every trade
> equity curve updates on every close
I went to bed on $44.82 and left the laptop open on the dashboard. By morning the balance read $11,643.21. Every trade on the activity feed had a reason next to it and a line in the log.
That's the shift I didn't see coming. Not that an agent made money overnight. That I stopped being the one asking "would you long this?" and started being the one reading the log of what already happened.
Starting balance: $44.82
Current balance: $11,643.21
Grok Bot built the terminal, the agent architecture and the dashboard. I described what I wanted and the thing went live.

A guy spent $3,000 last year on online courses to learn machine learning.
A weekend bootcamp. Two certificate programs. A “masterclass” subscription that renewed itself twice. He finished one course out of four. He told himself the rest of it required a real degree, from a real university, that he’d never be able to afford. So he kept paying, kept stalling, and kept feeling behind.
At a coworker’s going-away party, a guy who had studied at Stanford for 6 years asked what he was working on. He said “trying to learn ML, but all the good stuff is locked behind tuition.”
His coworker put down his drink and said:
“You’re paying $3,000 for content Stanford puts on YouTube for free.”
“What do you mean?”
“Stanford’s machine learning lectures, the same course that Stanford students sit through, are public. The full video set, the lecture notes, the problem sets. So is the natural language processing course. So is the computer vision course. So is the seminar series where the people building the biggest AI systems come in and explain how they work. You’ve never typed ‘Stanford Online’ into YouTube. You’ve never opened the AI Index, the 400-page report that every journalist, investor, and policymaker in the field reads every year. You’ve never used the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, which professors across the world cite in their own papers. And you’ve never touched the design toolkits Stanford’s d.school lets anyone download. All free. All public. All sitting there while you paid for a worse version.”
He pulled out his phone.
“I thought Stanford was for people who got in.”
“It is. But the lectures aren’t locked. The learning isn’t locked. The only thing that’s locked is the degree, and you were never buying that anyway.”
He spent the next 90 days working through 6 free Stanford resources. He cancelled both subscriptions. He told his team he’d finally understood how transformers actually work.
“I paid $3,000 for the lobby. Stanford had been giving away the building.”
Here are 8 free Stanford resources, in the order he used them, plus the honest truth about what they can’t do 🧵

Let's not turn this into blind listening tests are dead. Turing TTS is a blind listening test. The interesting change is who the model is compared with and what listeners are asked to decide.

One thing that makes a product video easier to follow? Showing people exactly where to look. If you want to try this approach in your own content, CapCut Desktop Pro is 60% off and Ultra is 40% off through October 30!
Use arrows to direct attention, close-up shots to show the product clearly, and a STOP prompt to create a moment viewers won't scroll past. Then use Multi-Track Editing in CapCut PC to adjust each layer without having to treat the whole video as one piece.
It's a small change that can make your product presentation feel much more deliberate.

Your OCR says it’s done—but did it get everything right? 🤔 In high-stakes workflows, even a small error can be costly.
🚀 Meet the MiniCPM-OCR suite: an open-source solution to parse fast and guard the results.
Two new models:
🔹 MiniCPM-OCR 1.0 — SOTA OCR performance and speed at 1B scale. Compact, accurate, and fast.
🔹 MiniCPM-OCR Jev — A 2B decision model that helps assess parsing accuracy, with performance approaching that of Qwen3.5-397B-A17B on JevOCRBench.
⚡ What’s new?
Small model, SOTA results: MiniCPM-OCR 1.0 scores 93.68 on Real5-OmniDocBench and 54.7 on OCRBench v2.
A sharp goalkeeper 🛡️: MiniCPM-OCR Jev is model-agnostic, checking text, formulas, and tables from different OCR parsers. It achieves 93.6 on JevOCRBench, outperforming JEV-35B-A3B (90.1) and approaching Qwen3.5-397B-A17B (93.8).
Up to 128 pages per minute 🤯: With DSpark, MiniCPM-OCR runs at 1.49× the speed of PaddleOCR-VL-1.6 and 3.62× that of MinerU2.5 Pro. The SDK’s concurrency optimizations further boost throughput to as much as 128 pages per minute.
Deploy where you work: Day-0 support for Arm, Houmo AI, Intel, and NVIDIA, plus 10 more chip vendors through FlagOS.
Ready for your stack: vLLM, SGLang, llama.cpp, and Ollama, with quantized models, fine-tuning support, and Agent Skills.

I asked Teamily Agent to research five AI video tools, and it built this comparison page. It's built around a real small business: a $100/month budget, product photos on hand, and Instagram & TikTok promo as the goal.
Then I pulled specialist agents into one group chat to work on it together, edited the page with Open Studio in Website Builder, and saved the whole thing as a Loop. I stay in as the human checkpoint before anything goes out, so I can change the requirement and re-run it anytime.
The page has a verification log showing which prices are confirmed and which aren't, with source links.
