Gloria Richardson doesn't get enough credit for how revolutionary she was! Ms. Gloria, like many other activists of the day, disagreed fully with Dr. King and any non-violence movements. She believed that if we have to ask Whites for our dignity, that means we are not free. And she refused to accept that we were relegated to second class citizenship. "A first-class citizen does not plead to the white power structure to give him something that the whites have no power to give or take away. Human rights are human rights, not white rights".
