saw someone on here say that mido is almost a father figure to namgoong & he's a mother figure to her and it makes so much sense, they both grew up together becoming the parent they themselves needed.
Namgung’s tendency to sacrifice himself for his loved ones is so sad. For eg. he donated his kidney for his mom who had made his life miserable, just bcuz she had given him stolen peaches representing that there was a time when she really cared for him +

mido protects him bcs of what happened with her dad, namgoong gives everything bcs he feels he owes whoever loves him given his history with his mom, so whatever they have looks less like 'love' & 'devotion' and more like two people paying off what they think they owe each other

Jafar Panahi has been sentenced to five years and one month in prison by a Tehran court:
