🇺🇸 Oh, what a truly devastating, tragic week for the "free-thinking patriots" of the world. First Brazil said no to fascism. Then Serbia said no to fascism. And now, the absolute unthinkable has happened: the United States just joined the party and voted no too. But don't worry,

I just want to say that tonight has renewed my hope for the future of this country, for the future my kids will inherit as they grow up, in a way that seemed impossible just two years ago. It feels really good.

I first said this a long time ago, but I’ll repeat it tonight…
Six months after Trump is gone, finding a Republican who admits to having supported him will be like trying to find Nazis in 1946 Germany.

For the love of all that is good, Democrats, do not squander this. The voters have given you a mandate. Use it. Be the party of working people. Be the anti-war party. Be the anti-corruption party. Be the party that ignores the Senate Parliamentarian. We cannot go back to business as usual.

At this moment of history, the Democratic National Committee and National Finance Committee have ignored the Southern States and gave no resources to the campaigns of Angie Nixon (FL), Jamie Davis(LA), and Scott Colom (MISS). Ms. Nixon and Mr. Davis lost by a couple of % points. Mr. Colom awaits a miracle victory on a razors edge. The Supreme Court destroyed the Voters Right Act of the Civil Rights movement and Black folks answered the clarion call to fight back because there is BLOOD ON THAT BALLOT BOX. To many died to turn back now. From this night forward there is a New Southern Stratergy led by advocates like Gary Chambers in Louisiana and Stacey Adams in Georgia. This is political malpractice by Chuck Schumer and the National Democratic Party. So while evil people plot, good people plan! The fight continues in the morning. Mississippi will be battlefront. MAGA spent years trapped in their own fucking echo chamber, so drunk on power and their own propaganda that they genuinely believed they had a mandate to terrorize communities, unleash Trump’s Gestapo on our neighborhoods, punish blue cities, and treat the federal government like their own personal criminal enterprise.
They watched Americans struggle to survive while they flaunted their corruption, cruelty, and contempt for the very people they were supposed to serve. They thought they could lie, intimidate, divide, and psychologically exhaust an entire country into submission.
And somewhere along the way, they mistook their loud, obnoxious echo chamber for the American people.
This blue tsunami is a reminder that the country is a hell of a lot bigger than MAGA.
They thought they had a blank check. They thought they were untouchable. They vastly underestimated just how many Americans were fucking sick of their shit.
And tonight, Americans told them to FUCK OFF.

🚨ABDUL EL-SAYED TROLLS JD VANCE AND TRUMP IN HIS VICTORY SPEECH:
EL-SAYED: JD. Habibi. There is this delicious irony in the fact that you're constitutionally obligated to swear me in in January.
So you know what that means, Wolverine one, Buckeyes zero.
Donald, look, I, I know you, you struggle with my name, so after JD swears me in in January, you can just go on and call me Senator.

Okay, this is good. Now. And this part is a lil tricky. We’ve had trouble with it before, so listen closely: You need to fucking do something with this power IMMEDIATELY when you get sworn in. Day one. No more letters. Use this power day one or your asses will never get it again.

I have been holding my tongue about something that happened during the Ohio gubernatorial race. I refused to speak while the election was underway because I did not want my words mistaken for an attempt to influence anyone’s vote.
But now that the election is over, I have something to say.
For nearly twenty years, my ministry has taken me among the homeless, the abused, the exploited, and the forgotten. I have sat with victims of sexual violence and witnessed the lifelong wounds of childhood trauma.
What Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign did to Amy Acton was among the most morally repulsive things I have witnessed in American politics.
They took a woman whose stepfather was indicted for raping her when she was twelve years old and featured her mother, from whom she had been estranged for nearly fifty years, in a political advertisement attacking her credibility.
The advertisement challenged Acton’s account of her childhood without mentioning the sexual abuse allegations or the circumstances of that estrangement. When people expressed their horror, the campaign defended it.
Imagine examining another person’s childhood suffering and fractured family relationships, then deciding those wounds might help win an election.
Anyone who has worked with survivors of childhood sexual abuse understands the painful realities of denial, betrayal, shame, and estrangement. A child growing into a successful adult does not erase what happened. Nor does a parent’s denial make that suffering disappear.
I find it equally disturbing that an elderly mother, whom Acton herself described as unwell, was brought into this spectacle. Whatever her own struggles or responsibility for the past, exploiting that fractured relationship was grotesque.
To everyone who defended this, consider the message you sent to survivors. To the young woman whose family refuses to believe her. To the man who has carried the shame of childhood abuse for forty years. To the frightened child who has yet to tell anyone.
What did you teach them about the value of their suffering?
I am a priest. I believe in repentance, forgiveness, and redemption. But none of those things requires me to pretend that deliberate cruelty is anything less than a grave moral failure.
Your political allegiance does not absolve you of moral responsibility. You do not get to set aside your conscience during an election and retrieve it afterward.
If your loyalty requires you to defend the exploitation of a childhood sexual abuse survivor, your loyalty has become an idol. And if your conscience cannot recognize the wrong here, examine what political tribalism has done to it.
This is not about Republicans or Democrats. We have a choice as a people: continue excusing cruelty from our preferred political camp, or summon the courage to condemn it wherever it appears.
Amy Acton deserved better. Every survivor who watched this unfold deserved better.
And God help us if we have reached the point where winning an election matters more than protecting the dignity of a wounded human being.
