the fact that the ultimate victory in an indian's psyche is to make others seethe with envy reveals a consciousness so thoroughly colonised by the gaze of others that even joy has to be performed for an audience. His idea of prosperity is not abundance but comparative humiliation

The Maharashtra government is brazenly attempting to subvert the democratic mandate of milk producers at the Gokul Milk Federation by using legislative changes to manipulate the composition of an elected board. In the 19 October elections, the Congress-led panel won 13 of 25 seats, securing a majority over the Mahayuti’s 12. After Mahayuti-backed directors stalled the chairman’s election by remaining absent, the Bombay High Court directed a fresh election on 10 November. Instead of allowing the elected board to function, the state Cabinet has approved a proposal to nominate four government directors with voting rights, potentially altering the electoral arithmetic and overturning the mandate of milk producers. The larger question is whether a government can change the rules after an election simply because it does not like the result. We are challenging this decision in the Supreme Court to defend the democratic mandate and the autonomy of cooperative institutions.

🚨MASSIVE BREAKING : Indian Express just launches surgical strike on Fraud MODI Govt🔥 (MUST Read & Share) EXPOSED how Modi's top babus are hiding the real value of their properties🔥 India's most powerful officers declared 244 properties. For 115 of them, the value column says "not known". → Every top officer has to declare their property every year. This rule came in 2011, after the anti-corruption movement. → Indian Express checked the latest filings of 102 Secretary-level officers. These include Secretaries of the Centre, officers in PMO and NITI Aayog, and Chief Secretaries of states. → They declared 244 self-acquired properties. → 115 properties have NO current value. Officers wrote "not known", "not assessed", "value not determined". → 115 properties have NO size given. No area, no dimensions. → 44 officers own 3 or more properties. One officer has 8. → Some houses go up to 23,925 sq ft. Some farmland goes up to 39 acres. → 9 officers who had shown property earlier now show "nil". → Indian Express asked the Cabinet Secretariat and DoPT how this is checked. No reply. Now connect the dots. The Lokpal law said every officer must declare ALL assets, just like MPs and candidates. In December 2016, under the Modi govt, that section was amended. It now says the rules will come "in due course". It's 2026. Ten years later, those rules are still not made. A form with an empty value column means nobody can tell if the property is worth ₹50 lakh or ₹50 crore. And when the govt is asked who checks these forms, it goes silent. Modi , you promised "na khaunga, na khane dunga". Why are your top officers allowed to hide their property values? Why are the Lokpal asset rules still stuck since 2016? Who is your govt protecting? 🔥🔥🔥

If your gross salary is ₹50,000 per month, your basic salary would typically be around ₹25,000. You end up paying 24% of your basic salary (12% employee + 12% employer contribution) towards PF, amounting to approximately ₹6,000. That's 12% of your entire gross salary getting locked away in PF every month! And this is what they call employee welfare? Stop disguising reduced take-home salaries as social security benefits!

18 women developed kidney failure. Swollen legs. Puffed faces. Frothy urine. They had all bought the same fairness cream online. Goree. Made in Pakistan. Sold through Instagram pages and Meesho. This happend in Nagpur, India. Doctors ordered tests to find the cause. Lab tests shocked everyone. Mercury at seven hundred fifty two times the legal limit. Lead too. The cream had no expiry date. No batch number. No manufacturer name. Just poison in a jar. Mercury blocks an enzyme called tyrosinase. That enzyme makes melanin the pigment that darkens skin. Stop it and new pigment stops forming. Old pigment fades as skin cells shed. The result looks instantly fairer. The catch is mercury also damages kidneys nerves and the brain while doing it. Doctors biopsied two patients. Membranous nephropathy with NELL-1 deposits. A signature of mercury poisoning. The metal was soaking through skin and settling in kidneys. On July fourth Maharashtra FDA declared it not of standard quality. Banned Goree. Banned Face Fresh Gold. Banned Golden Star. Raids followed. Stocks worth over ninety lakh rupees were seized. Then came the criminal cases. Six FIRs across five districts. Section twenty seven of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Up to three years in jail. A Chembur shopkeeper was booked. In Pimpri the Anti-Terrorist Branch arrested a man with twenty three packets. In Sangamner another seller was caught. The FDA even asked for an anti-terrorism squad inquiry. CDSCO went national in September. Goree and Chandni. Both flagged. Still some shops sell them. People still buy. The treatment worked when caught early. Stop the cream. Give a modified Ponticelli treatment regimen. Kidneys started recovering. But one doctor warned the truth. With mercury this strong damage can begin in ten to twelve days. Symptoms may stay silent for years. By the time you feel it it may be too late. That's the story. A cream promised fairness. It delivered kidney failure instead. – at Kakkodi, India

I recently learned about the staggering gap in surgical pricing across Mumbai: 100-bed suburban hospital: ₹1.3 lakh Corporate hospital (e.g., Hinduja): ₹6.5 lakh for laparoscopic Hysterectomy ( Packages by Insurance company ) Ayushman Bharat scheme: ~₹50,000 Same surgery, identical clinical procedure—a 5x ro 10x price difference. Why are insurance companies willing to clear inflated corporate bills worth ₹6.5 lakh without hesitation, but aggressively scrutinize and delay a genuine ₹1 lakh claim from a smaller nursing home? The end victim is the regular consumer. Massive payouts to corporate hospitals drive up overall claim expenditure, which insurance companies directly pass on to you through surging annual premiums. If mid-sized hospitals are squeezed out, corporate monopolies will be the only option left. Corporate hospitals certainly deserve a premium for infrastructure, but unchecked billing requires regulatory limits.

A clock company was given a 140 year old bridge to repair. Four days after it reopened, the bridge fell into the river with 500 people on it. 135 died, more than 50 of them children. The man accused was later weighed in sweets at a ceremony in the same town. His name is Jaysukh Patel, managing director of the Oreva group, the company behind Ajanta clocks. In March 2022 the Morbi municipality gave Oreva a 15 year contract to repair and run the bridge. On 26 October 2022 the bridge reopened. The town's chief officer later said the company opened it without telling them. On 30 October 2022, around 6.40 pm, it was Sunday evening and the bridge was packed with families. It collapsed. The youngest to die was 18 months old. A forensic report said the cables were rusted, the anchors broken and the bolts loose. Ten people were arrested, including Jaysukh Patel. He was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. In December 2023 the Gujarat High Court rejected his bail. In March 2024 the Supreme Court granted it, with a condition that he stay out of Morbi. In November 2024 a court relaxed that condition. Days later a community group in Morbi honoured him at a temple event and weighed him in sweets. Narendra Parmar, whose 10 year old daughter died on the bridge, said, "It is a matter of sadness for us to see the main accused being honoured like that." Four years later, the trial is still going on.

In Mumbai vs Bombay, no disrespect towards local Marathi Society/identity can be presumed 'till' there is moral consistency i.e. If one uses Hindustan, Madras, Calcutta, Banglore, Allahabad and so uses Bombay then its a habit But if one conciously uses India/Bharat, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Prayagraj citing that those old names denotes British-Mughal legacy but still uses Bombay (& not Mumbai) then its a moral choice .. which is 'mostly' out of a feeling that when it comes to Mumbai we will choose British-Mughal legacy over native Indian legacy (of Marathi culture) About what it should be called then 99.99% British themselves calls it Mumbai .. which says a lot
I genuinely have a question to all those who still call the city as Bombay and not Mumbai. It has been 30 years since the city is renamed as Mumbai. And still the non-native speakers insist on calling it Bombay. Some of the native speakers also go by the same name while speaking in Hindi or English. I see that in reels, filmy people conversations, college kids' conversations, and everywhere else too. I don't really have an issue with whatever you wanna call the city but the insistence of calling it Bombay is like disrespecting the local identity and language and feelings of the original inhabitants. And though Mumbai is a cosmopolitan city, it has its own language, culture, food, identify. The local flavour needs to be RESPECTED. And don't give me a political argument.... Some of you weren't even born when the politics around it happened. Apart from that, what is the reason?
