Exciting news. Our new preprint is up on bioRxiv. Our collaboration with @JeeyunC lab found neuronal LDās dynamic behavior upon activation. Huge thanks to everyone involved for their dedication to pushing this project forward.
What do lipid droplets do in neurons? Thrilled to share the š1st preprint from my lab, led by Eleni Katafygiotou, showing activity-dependent formation of neuronal LDs in vitro and in vivo, and the impact of LD modulation on neuronal function and behavior.

New paper in Nature Neuro! We found dopamine is severely impaired in the lateral entorhinal cortex of Alzheimerās mice. Optogenetic stimulation of entorhinal dopamine and LEVODOPA treatment restored their memory ā dopamine treatment may be a future treatment for AD patients!
My postdoctoral work is finally published in Nature Neuroscience after six years!
We show that dopamine signaling in the lateral entorhinal cortex, previously identified as being involved in memory, is disrupted in an Alzheimerās disease mouse model.
