The Alex Scott stuff is pretty interesting the more I watch him, more of a deep mobile build-up player, similar mould to Matty Fernandes. If I’ve got this right, Carrick would’ve seen him in his YPOTY season at Bristol where he was honestly, liquid gold. Properly clean technician and would take him all day long as long as we get more of a stopper-type midfielder alongside Santos + Scott, think they both have a variety of build up solutions + prem proven + room to grow physically/technically. Would be a lot closer to that mobile midfield three that dominate the ball more, and I don’t have too many physical concerns with Scott either - he’s a nuisance off the ball & has always been snappier off it than, for example, Hackney.
