It must have been a different John Swinney who said in February 2025 that blocking Jackdaw was “the only sustainable judgment you can arrive at in considering these questions".
🧵 I hope today’s announcement on Jackdaw will provide some certainty for the North East after many years of difficulty thanks to UK Government policy. It must also kickstart a renewed drive to deliver our long-standing clean energy ambitions.

Selective communication, no mention of how hard it is for a Scottish student to get into their first choice university
🎓 A record number of Scottish teenagers have secured university or college places this year. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 With free tuition, fairer access, and record-breaking results, the SNP are standing up for the next generation!

Streeting is trying to distance himself from his best friend Mandelson. So if you've got any respect at all for Wes Streeting, don't retweet this photo. 😁

As one of the women who contributed to The Women Who Wouldn't Wheesht and a lifelong supporter of libraries, esp in Scotland, I'm furious that the National Library of Scotland - of all places - has behaved in such an unprincipled and censorious way. National Disgrace of Scotland
As Nicola Sturgeon relentlessly promotes her memoir, the book featuring the work of these 34 women was removed from view by the National Library of Scotland because it was deemed “harmful” and a risk to the Library’s reputation. Frankly, this is Sturgeon’s legacy. Censorship.

👇New ‘hierarchy of road user’ rules in @highwaycode look to be working well 🙄 #PedestrianPriority @roadsafety #cyclists @MayorofLondon
The @MayorofLondon says that those bus stops that comply with @TfL guidance are usable by blind people. This one here in the heart of the City of London does comply, but is clearly unusable for blind people. Retweet to support blind people’s. Access needs:

⏰Tick Tock ..."Scottish Government confirmed that it spent £10,213 on the anti-Reform summit. This includes £4,000 for the venue (Merchants House of Glasgow), £4,000 on Audio Visual equipment and £2,000 on catering alone, with civic leaders well fed on the taxpayers dime." ⏰ scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/n…

Remarkably, the governing board of the Faculty Of Advocates who approved the statement includes two office-bearers (Ruth Crawford KC and advocate Lesley Shields) who were the Scottish Government's own counsel in the For Women Scotland case. wingsoverscotland.com/the-di…
