Every girl can be an ambassador of change💪🏼 That’s why, today, a 16 y.o. @PlanInternational activist from Moldova took my place. We want to give all girls and women equal opportunities to show their abilities 🙋🏼♀️

Strada 31 August 1989, Chisinau. Cobblestones revealed during renovations. How old are they, and who laid them down? Will at least some of this heritage be preserved, somehow? Chisinau is such a beautiful, historic, European city.

90% of Ukrainian refugees in Moldova are women and children who seek safety from the brutal Russian invasion. I saw first-hand the difference UK support is making to the lives of refugee women and girls.

Happy Birthday, Chisinau! Thank you for being my home for the last 3 years. You are a beautiful, fascinating and hospitable place - I encourage everyone who has not yet done so to visit you! @PrimarulI

More than 360.000 refugees entered Moldova since beginning of the war in #Ukraine. We currently host about 100.000 Ukrainians - around 4% of current population – half of them being children.

UK invested in COVAX from the very start, and is the second biggest donor (after USA). Delighted that COVAX vaccines are now reaching the people that need them, including here in Moldova.
Moldova received yesterday the 2nd batch of vaccines via #COVAX.
I express my sincere gratitude to the generous contributors - 🇪🇺, 🇺🇸, 🇬🇧, 🇯🇵, 🇨🇦 and many others, thanks to whom Moldova can accelerate vaccination!

Pleased to see COVAX working for Moldova, with yesterday’s vaccine delivery. UK was a pioneer of COVAX and is the 2nd largest donor. Together, we will emerge from the pandemic and move forward to a more stable, prosperous future.
#Moldova is the first European nation to receive #COVID19vaccines via the #COVAX initiative - the first 14,400 doses arrived last night. Thankful to 🇩🇪 and other 🇪🇺nations,
🇺🇸, 🇬🇧, 🇨🇦, @EU_Commission, 🇯🇵 and others for solidarity, and to @WHO and @UNICEF
