People with narcissistic injuries love women with BPD because they love that sweet, sweet idealization. It makes them feel like a God. Then they hate women with BPD because it turns out women with BPD are human beings and not objects there to provide an endless supply of idealization. Then they talk about how horrible women with BPD are without acknowledging that they needed the idealization in the first place. Idealization starts to feel uncomfortable or unnecessary coming from another adult when you don’t need it. Coming from a child, it’s healthy. But no one seems to wonder about adults who need the other to idealize them. Instead, all the blame and conversation is centered on unwell and traumatized women who need and are often desperate for help. The sooner people work out their mommy issues, the better. I promise you it’s doable.
