Grimes voiced and helped design her AI-generated role in Zack London's Gods Don't Give Gifts, out in US theaters Dec 4, and took no fee. Getting her face on screen meant tool makers lifting their blocks on famous faces, a favor most creators can't get.

Into the Song, an AI microdrama from a part-time crew under 54-year-old Zhang Hansheng, has run ten 100-episode seasons on Hongguo since August. Its novel, editor, app and, per its director, video model all belong to ByteDance. One owner sets the terms.

Google's Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash makes a 15-second clip for $1.04 at 720p, 31% under 1.1 at Google's developer price. Runway's help page still lists about three times that rate, and every edit turn bills as a whole new clip, so price the fixes first.

Transn says it has localized 20,000+ Chinese microdramas with cloned actor voices. Its own filing shows film translation revenue up 29.8% and margin down 13 points, which it blames on AI cutting prices per order. Cheap dubbing pays the buyer, not the dubber.

Higgsfield says Claude made a 9 min 51 s dinosaur documentary in one shot, with no outside edit. Its posted prompt runs 448 words: 20 scenes, 15 species sheets, crossfade timings, a frame-by-frame check. The directing did not vanish; it moved into the brief.

Yalda Kesh's Little White Lies long read says AI microdramas keep recycling the same few faces. China already prices that in: Hongguo told creators to stop reusing AI faces, and studios now pay real people for their likeness. Distinct faces help, but the writing counts too.

Squig (@idrawsquig) lays a father and daughter under the night sky and turns every light up there into a question. A believable family, great voice design and accurate night lighting carry it. Only the thermos, sipped lying flat, breaks the spell.

New Homie by ALEXYZ (@alexvx_nft) is today's Video of the Day. An alien lands in the 2000s New York projects, gets dapped up and flies off in a purple UFO with boomboxes on it. Those 29 seconds of attitude pack in magic effects, a moving camera and crowd scenes.

ChatGPT Images 2.6 now saves a character or prop and keeps it on hand from one chat to the next. New GIF loops are one picture cut into frames, so storyboards, not video. Two developer models kept listed prices, but rough drafts cost about 4x in two tests.
