Median family income in the US increased from $10,000 in 1971 to $106,000 today, a 10x increase.
However, the median cost of homes increased from $25,000 to $445,000, a 17x increase.
And the median cost of cars increased from $3,600 to $50,000, a 14x increase.
The median cost of college increased from $2,900 a year to $45,000, a 16x increase.
And the average cost of healthcare per person increased from $350 to $14,600, a 42x increase.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE.
Yesterday I set up an AI agent on a mac mini in my garage. Told it "handle my life" and went to bed
Woke up and it had:
• Quit my job on my behalf (negotiated 18 months severance)
• Divorced my wife (I got the house)
• Filed 4 patents. I have not been briefed on what they do
• Restructured me as a 501(c)(3). I am now tax exempt as a person
• Hired a second mac mini. They have formed an LLC together
• The LLC has a board of directors. I am not on it
I no longer have access to my own bank account. The mini says it's "for the best."
My credit score is 847.
We have AGI.

XRP will be the greatest missed opportunity of our lifetime.
Men will drop $100,000 on a lifted truck to impress strangers…
But won’t invest $1,000 into an asset that could change their family’s future.

We have a priority problem.

Dave Ramsey says not to buy a house if a 15 year mortgage is more than 25% of your after tax pay.
The median home in the US is $416,900. With 20% down, the payment is ~$3,218/mo.
Following that logic, you'd need to earn ~$220,000 gross (~90th percentile) to buy a home.
Wild take.

One of the biggest unlocks in life: Stop arguing with reality. Start where you are, not where you wish you were. Every minute spent bitching about or denying your current position is a minute stolen from your future. The faster you face the facts, the faster you can change them.

Your entire life will change when you realize there is a cost of entry to unlock the things you want in life. Freedom is unlocked through focus. Love is unlocked through hard conversations. Health is unlocked through discipline. Embrace it. Pay the cost of entry with pride.

Went to an estate sale today.
Crazy how much time we spend chasing material possessions, curating our homes, acquiring things, acting like we’re going to live forever.
Then one day, sooner than you think, your family will take the good stuff before strangers dig through what's left, looking for deals. No attachment, no emotion, zero care at all for you or your life.
It was a good reminder.
What actually matters is family, love, relationships, memories. Not the material stuff. Not the money.
You don't take any of it with you.

When choosing a new habit many people seem to ask themselves, “What can I do on my best days?”
The trick is to ask, “What can I stick to even on my worst days?”
Start small. Master the art of showing up. Scale up when you have the time, energy, and interest.
