Mark Ruffalo, I’m in SAG-AFTRA just like you. Our union dues are capped at the first $1 million in covered earnings. That means high earners like yourself don’t pay work dues on earnings above that amount.
Why not voluntarily contribute more to help fellow actors who are struggling to afford healthcare and make ends meet?
You’re criticizing Elon Musk over wealth, taxes and accountability. Maybe start by looking at the system you benefit from. Sound familiar?
Elon, you goofy. 🤪Crashing out, because you don’t want to pay taxes. Don’t want some oversight into all the government money and contracts you made off with. Don’t want anyone looking into exactly what the F you did with DOGE. And whining about loosing an election. 🤪That’s part of democracy, bro. Welcome to America. This isn’t some South Africa back in the day 💩. You will get use to it. Sometimes you lose. Believe me. That’s what politics is. Oh. And. Watch the Elon Musk doc. It’s wild.

Why are ads for how great ALTO will be now running on TV as the shovels are not even in the ground yet. Who is producing these ads? A Liberal ad agency? How much are taxpayers now paying to promote a project at least 5 years in the future. Turn off the taxpayer ATM for ALTO. There are much better ways to spend the money. How about on needy Canadians?

Pierre Poilievre: "I've never seen an example of a prime minister use the public trough to enrich his corporate friends so flagrantly as this guy does."

How about he has all the clearances he needs to be an MP and the Official Leader of the Opposition. The one that Liberals keep referring to was for the report owned by the PMO. It was Trudeau's pathetic attempt to try to muzzle him but it failed. Why didn't Trudeau just release the names of the MPs on it instead of all the false dramatics by the Liberals?
'Demands'?
This useless little twerp is making 'demands'?
Here's a demand, Pete ... get your damn security clearance so you can know what you're yapping about.
Get back to your riding in Alberta to listen, not talk.
Learn to behave in the House of Commons.

Coyne's knee-jerk defense of all things Carney supports tells me all I need to know about him. He stopped being a journalist long ago.
It's fascinating how uninterested Coyne seems to be in the way this membership will bind Canada to the EU. All memberships come with rules and obligations. We just aren't privy to them. Coyne isn't even curious. When any government is this vague, it should be like blood in the water for journalists.

I'll probably lose followers for saying this but Canada trying to join the EU is the most retarded idea of all time
We don't become a more independent and sovereign country by adding another Government to rule above ours
Canadians please wake up

You don't build sovereignty by giving it away.
Anand says partnering with the EU builds Canada's sovereignty. That's backwards. Sovereignty means Canadians decide for Canadians — not Brussels, not an unelected Commission, not a deal nobody ever voted on.
They keep saying the word because they know it's the thing they're taking from.
They use the word for exactly that reason. "Sovereignty" is the thing Canadians actually want, so they dress the opposite policy in that word. Call it sovereignty enough times and people stop asking what was actually signed away. It's language as cover if. You name the policy after the value you're gutting, the theft sounds like a gift.

Pierre Poilievre in Ottawa: "I dare Mark Carney to come here and stand in front of this debt clock to show off the monstrosity that you are creating for this country, Mr. Carney, while you hand out more and more of our money to your corporate friends."

Paranoid? Andrew, the court fight in Poland is real. Riot police at a court. Two people claiming to run it. That's not a rabbit hole, that's the news.
Questioning a deal nobody voted on, with an unelected Commission, isn't unhinged. It's called paying attention.
The only strange thing here is a columnist calling Canadians crazy for noticing what's happening right in front of them.

They had a good call on Wednesday 19 August too, on 20 August Carney briefed his cabinet on the deal that had been reached. He then called the Premiers & requested that they put US booze back on the shelves & remove restrictions on US firms bidding on provincial gov contracts. 1 Premier called it begging, some said despite their own reservations they would support the PM’s request, 2 said no way & 1 expressed deep reservations. On 21 August, the 3 Premiers from BC, QC & ON continued to say no. That evening at 10 pm EST, the PM announced he had unilaterally withdrawn the CDN negotiating team citing last minute US (unacceptable) requests.
On 22 August he claimed during a press conference that the US suddenly demanded (after his call with a the President on Wednesday & presumably before he cancelled the talks late Friday) things he couldn’t bend on. He mentioned French language rights, cultural interference & an inability to sign future FTA without US permission.
No journalist seemed interested in asking why he didn’t just call President Trump directly to address whatever Trump’s negotiators suddenly added as requirements after they had spoken on Wednesday? Why just unilaterally walk away before a head of gov to head of gov call?
My take, he couldn’t deliver the 2 critical requirements of putting alcohol back on the shelves in the 7 provinces that have banned their sale & allowing US companies to bid on provincial contracts which was even more important to the US side & didn’t want to be seen as reneging on the deal that he agreed to during his Wednesday call with Trump.
There’s a reason why he was all over the map on why he walked away & why refused to show any documentation supporting his allegations nor did he authorize a leak of a document to a trusted journalist to back up his claims. It’s because he was making it up on the fly!
Any CDN with more than 2 brains cells should know by now after 11 years of lies by the @liberal_party gov that faith should be limited to religion.
When it comes to politics, faith just doesn’t cut it, especially after this PM got caught lying about the deal to open the Gordie Howe bridge just a month earlier.
Prime Minister Mark Carney said he had a "good conversation" with U.S. President Donald Trump and the two countries' teams would be working in the coming weeks to deliver a trade deal.

The Liberals are criticizing Conservatives for sharing clips from Heritage Committee.
Canada is a democracy and Canadians have a right to see what their elected representatives are saying and doing in Parliament.
So yes, I will continue sharing committee clips with Canadians. They deserve to see exactly what goes on in Parliament.

Pierre Poilievre: "Carney is cooking the books by dividing his spending into three different credit cards." "It's like if you set up a company and then went down to Las Vegas and gambled away your life savings on the credit card, but said it's okay because it's the company credit card."
