I’m sure ole @WabKinew will pull the plug on this idea the second any PM says no more Indian Act, no more race based ID, or tax code or justice system or property rights restrictions & yes, now every CDN is completely equal.
Wab Kinew calls on Ottawa to abolish Indian Act: "I'm not sure if that lines up with your vision of Canada, that we still have a race-based form of identification in this country. It's long overdue that we have a relationship with Indigenous peoples in Canada that reflects who we are as Canadians today."

Very convenient to say the US is moving closer to Canada’s position when Carney has never shown CDN’s the deal he rejected in August. How would we know?

Well Toronto, you can’t claim that she wasn’t as advertised. She’s been an open nutbar for the last 4 years & you gave her another solid mandate, so buckle up & take your licks!
Toronto Sun's Joe Warmington on Olivia Chow's win: "522,000 votes... I don't think I've ever heard of a Canadian politician ever getting that vote count." "She won fair and square. This is what people want."

Brattani is as delusional as they come!
Carney is the type of guy who follows words with actions I like that about him, he says he will do something, and by the time we find out, it’s already in the planning stage or decided Something i really appreciate about his style of governing. Just get it done!

Don’t worry about losing your job, I’ve heard @melaniejoly is writing them a harshly worded letter 😎
Its just been reported that after 120 years in the Niagara region Salit Steel will permanently close its Stanley Avenue facility. Its a fifth generation, family-owned company and the decision comes after careful consideration of challenging market conditions, including tariffs on steel and a slowdown in home construction. Read that last part again.... a slowdown in home construction. Being our "own best customer" was never a viable plan.

I hope they don’t hold their breath waiting because he also promised to create a CDN Sovereign Wealth Fund more than a year ago & hasn’t done jack to get it going! Long on promises, short on action!
Carney says he'll have his finance minister "co-develop" a First Nations Sovereign Wealth Fund, "a proposal that came directly from the AFN," so First Nations can "share directly in the wealth that the country is creating." Who pays in, and how much?

This report was issued the day after the Alberta referendum vote & just a few days before the BC General Election so the subsidiaries addicted CDN MSM managed to just ignore it. It makes clear, Carney is throwing away his fiscal anchors, is adding a massive amount of debt, the debit spiral has begun (debt servicing interest rates exceed growth rates) & is flat out using sleight of hand to make it seem like his borrowing is offset by assets. As an example, he borrows $1 billion to buy 10 fully loaded F35A’s & then claims he didn’t increase the debt by a single penny because we now have $1 billion dollars of assets as if he could sell them for a billion. He’s doing the same thing with Public Pension Funds by claiming the entire amount as an offsetting asset when in fact only a small portion is an asset as the rest is committed to paying pensions. Finally the PBO made clear Carney’s recent announcement that he would balance the operating budget a year early would be impossible without major across the board spending cuts & additional public sector job cuts, none of which are scheduled.
Carney’s “prudent banker” brand is dead. The PBO just showed the books are being cooked Debt-service costs are now the fastest-growing federal expense: $25B five years ago → $59B this year (already larger than the Canada Health Transfer) → $83B in five years. Pure interest, paid before anything else PBO Annette Ryan: the government’s fiscal “anchors” are “more like traffic lights.” Capital spending gets a green light; operating spending is a yellow at best. “Limited fiscal discipline. It’s not stopping spending.” Real cash borrowing over five years: $733B. New debt from deficits: only $333B. The ~$400B gap is being parked with Crown corporations, loans and special funds—“a step removed from parliamentary oversight.” New risks, she said, and less transparency The former Bank of Canada/Bank of England governor who once policed balance sheets is now redefining accounting so the headline targets stay pretty while the actual liability grows off-books. Taxpayers get stuck with the interest bill @PBO_DPB

Fed import quota of 289,000 China #EVs is "new path" in friendship with Beijing says @GAC_Corporate memo, avoids mention of slave-made parts: 'Will you list them as banned in Canada?"  blacklocks.ca/china-quotas-a… #cdnpoli

To be honest, Carney is 100% correct but in the short time Carney has been the public face of the @liberal_party he’s said the right things far more often than he’s done them, so I’ll reserve judgement until we see the details of his plan to move beyond the Indian Act.

There must be a class in filibustering & saying nothing while speaking consistently for @liberal_party Ministers. Despite all her words, Minister @melaniejoly fails to mention the key point in all of this which is her boss, our PM, has already decided to put his gov’s economic policy ahead of Canada’s national security interests. It’s just that simple!
An illuminating exchange. The question is well prosecuted by @MichaelChongMP

Well that’s the polite version of what this brat had to say. Now imagine what the @CTVNews headline would look like, if Poilievre said the CPC was the only party to ‘stand against the Liberals & their existence’ I doubt they’d put such a polite spin on it.

Gee I have no idea? It couldn’t be a sitting @liberal_party gov MP door knocking in the US for a Democrat Party congressional candidate or the PM creating a new position in the PMO for a Democrat Party political operative or Ford & Kinew both making statements during press conferences outlining how much better things will be after the midterms, when a new (read Democrat majority) Congress is sworn in. No the Carney gov & some Premiers have totally stayed silent about the midterms & which party they are pulling for 😎
The Trump administration is suggesting Canadian politicians are potentially meddling in the U.S. midterm elections. What’s behind the message? Former consul general Tom Clark and former U.S. diplomat to Canada Maryscott Greenwood weigh in…

This is going to be a very expensive meeting!
Carney to First Nations leaders and First Ministers: “This is the first time in over two decades that First Ministers and First Nations have met together. This is an important opportunity… to share perspectives, to listen, to learn, but above all to commit to action.” He highlighted ongoing investments — $3.5B more a year for culturally relevant on-reserve education, more than $4B for housing, over $4.5B for water systems, and almost $6B for mental health and culturally significant care — noting Indigenous Services Canada spending has grown ~15% a year for a decade to over $26B annually Agenda includes First Nations priorities on rights/treaties/jurisdictions, new economic partnerships so communities can “develop, operate and share in the wealth that Canada’s projects create” (citing Mackenzie Valley Highway and Nouveau Monde Graphite + Atikamekw), and joint work to deliver results on housing, infrastructure, health, and safety Goal: a “stronger, more sovereign and more independent” Canada that corrects historic injustice and “truly share[s] opportunity” @MarkJCarney

Not sure who comes up with this crap but Telesat has absolutely no plans or capacity to operate initially in Canada’s north before expanding to the high Arctic & if they can convince the CDN gov to pony up a few more billion, to cover all of Canada by 2038.
🇨🇦🇺🇦 Canadian company Telesat plans to provide Ukraine with an alternative to Starlink by starting to create its own low-orbit satellite network, Lightspeed, which will start operating in early 2028. Canada does not hide that the reason for abandoning Starlink was the decision of the US government to temporarily limit Ukraine's use of the Starshield system, which disrupted the country's defense operations and left Ukrainians even more vulnerable to continuous Russian attacks. It has also forced US allies, who are increasingly at odds with the Donald Trump administration, to rethink their dependence on American technology.

In fact it was CDN soldiers who dropped a dime on the fact that AZOV battalion members were full blown Nazi worshippers before the invasion which led to the change in vetting & a restriction on which Ukrainian soldiers they could train. Just last summer an Azov member got around the vetting procedure so he could attend a leadership course in Canada. CAF members on the course ratted him out & he was removed from the course & the country. You confuse, for a second time, following legal orders & blindly following illegal orders & for the last time compare members of the CAF to Nazi’s…there won’t be a third time you utter JackWagon #Adios
Replying to @tleehumphrey
German soldiers also followed orders 😏 "Following Orders" is the most cheapest excuse. In the meantime the CAF is training Nazi Ukraine to kill Russians, again "Following Orders", when will the CAF work for the Canadian People?? instead working for global power hungry leaders what are driving by corruption and greed.

Regardless of the outcome at the appeals court, this needs to go to the SCC. It was their idiotic half assed decision to say it’s a constitutional requirement to consult with FN’s but then didn’t bother to define what ‘consult’ means or when that consultation must take place. You can’t reasonably demand Gov has a legal requirement to do something but not clearly tell them what or when!

Ukraine & Zelensky got caught red handed. In fact I’ve been very reliable told it was Ukraines capture of illegally obtained Starlink terminals being used by Russia that provided them with the idea & ability to hack Starlink terminals to exceed speed restrictions, bypass data usage limits (the faster a terminal goes the more data it uses) & mask the location of the terminals, all of which would have alerted Starlink engineers to the misuse but & here’s the kicker, when Ukraine demanded that Starlink engineers come up with a way to defeat the Russian hack of their illegally obtained Starlink terminals (something Starlink’s engineers did this summer), those very same engineers began using what they learned to double check their entire network of users & by mid-September, they were warning Musk that the Ukrainians were doing the same thing (but better & with their legally obtained Starlink terminals) that the Russians had been doing. I’m told Musk went to Trump who got Kushner & Witkoff involved. They let Zelensky know, that what his military was doing was wrong & wouldn’t be tolerated. In fact, the day before Musk ordered his engineers to overcome the Ukrainian hack & restore speed limits, proper data usage & GPS location reporting, Witkoff made a final plea with the Ukrainian negotiators who were meeting with their US counterparts in Florida. When the AFU launched a mass drone attack against Russian positions the next day, Starlink engineers were ordered by Musk to restore the original operating parameters. Zelensky decided to lie (by omission) & use the failed attack against Russian positions, alongside his inability to defend his country against Russian retaliation attacks on Trump & Musk. Zelensky purposefully conflated the use of Starlink & his access to defensive intelligence his military receives via the US gov operated Starshield system. 3 days later as the facts were still putting their pants on, he spoke to EU leaders & demanded €78 billion euros to fight on, coincidence, I think not. The EU was not receiving his request for more funding well but in the wake of his public campaign to make it appear that the US wasn’t just abandoning him & his people, they were now actively preventing him from defending his country, his request could hardly be denied by the anti-Trump EU. As per usual, Ukraine is easily winning the propaganda war while Zelensky’s strategic & operational choices continue to ensure that Ukraine can never win the ground war & his people will continue to suffer.
