My wife never ceases to amaze me (she's beautiful soul too). This is also to every loving father out there.
Tonight, I got home completely exhausted. My body was aching, my eyes were heavy, and I barely had the energy to take off my shoes.
I was hoping to hear my kids voices but they were already asleep, so my wife came to open the door.
She looked at me for a moment and noticed immediately.
"Honey, you look exhausted. You've been pushing yourself so hard lately. I know you're doing all this for me and the children, and I want you to know I appreciate you."
I smiled, dropped my bag, and pulled her close.
She helped me settle down, brought me water, and sat beside me.
After a few minutes, she said, "Can I ask you something? What actually keeps you going? Is it me, the children, or the responsibility of providing for this family?".....

"I was told I would never be a leading man" Patrick Stewart gave one of the most touching interview to the BBC
Sir Ian McKellen pays tribute to the late Patrick Stewart:
“Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren't in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk-getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?".
Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London's West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.”
I welcomed a baby earlier this year, and because I’m on a high-deductible ACA insurance plan, I ended up owing just over $10,000 for the C-section and hospital stay. When I looked through the bill, I noticed a small note directing patients to the hospital’s financial assistance website. Out of curiosity, I decided to check it out.
The website had an income chart based on household size, and I discovered that a family of my size could qualify for 100% forgiveness of their medical bills if their household income was below $104,000. According to the guidelines, applications would be reviewed using the patient’s most recent tax return along with their pay stubs from the previous three months.
Then, a few days ago, everything changed.
My wife got into a heated argument with her sister at our house. During the fight, her sister suddenly shouted:
“At least I don’t secretly take birth control behind my husband’s back while pretending I’m infertile! DOES HE KNOW YOU HAD AN ABORTION?”
I was completely speechless.
My wife kicked her sister out and broke down crying. She admitted that she never wanted another child but was afraid I’d leave her if she told me the truth.
The abortion happened about a year and a half after our wedding. My wife had been taking birth control without my knowledge while allowing me to believe we couldn’t conceive.
She watched me struggle with the possibility of never becoming a biological father. She saw how devastated I was, yet she never told me the truth.
I want to make one thing clear: I’m pro-choice, and I believe women have every right to make decisions about their own bodies. This isn’t about controlling my wife’s body or taking away her right to choose. It’s about the fact that she lied to me about something that would determine our future together.
She could have been honest about not wanting more children, and I could have decided whether I was willing to remain in a marriage where having biological children wasn’t an option.
Instead, she let me believe we had a fertility problem when she knew she didn’t want another baby. I can’t help thinking about the child I might have had if we’d been honest with each other.
I was so hurt that I left and went to stay with my parents.
Now, my wife is begging me to come home. She says she’s willing to try for a baby, and even her daughter has messaged me asking me to return.
My parents think I should forgive her because she made a mistake and has apologized. But I don’t know how I’m supposed to trust someone who watched me suffer over something she was deliberately hiding from me.
Am I wrong for wanting a divorce over this lie?
She lied about her fertility!
I have been with my wife for 8 years, and we’ve been married for 4. She has a 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. Her biological father left when she was a newborn, and we’ve never known where he went. I’ve raised her as my own, and she calls me Dad. We have a wonderful relationship.
From the beginning, I told my wife I wanted biological children of my own. She said she was open to having more kids, so after we got married, we bought a house and started trying for a baby.
After a year without success, we both underwent fertility tests, but everything came back normal. My wife then said IVF was too expensive and physically demanding. I was devastated, but I eventually accepted that I might never have biological children.
