If any player deserves to go out on their own terms, it's Jimmy. Those in charge at both Old Traffords need to fuck off.
Lancashire Cricket can confirm that, following a remarkable 25-year association with the Red Rose, Sir James Anderson’s playing career with the Club will come to an end at the conclusion of his current contract. Read more: cricket.lancashirecricket.co… 🌹 #RedRoseTogether

In the words of Bob Dylan, "Don't criticise what you can't understand". Calling THE BEATLES formulaic🤣🤣🤣
*deep inhale* Guys, it’s The Beatles. Formulaic music that got hyped into genius status by a perfect storm of timing and savvy media, not actual skill. Expert exploitation of trends already pioneered by others. They’re a marketing phenomenon that got called the greatest because they sold a lot of records to herd-mentality teenagers, not because the music itself was ever the most advanced, demanding, or enduring rock ever made.

This doesn’t look like a broken man, this looks like a majorly pissed off man that wants to right the wrongs but has the humility to bare all and question himself in the limelight. That squad should be seeing that and wanting to turn this around for him.
Michael Carrick looks absolutely broken as he begins his press conference with a statement before taking questions.

A disgrace they've put him in this position. They don't deserve him.

Anyone who believes that fans' ire at the Utd hierarchy is solely or primarily down to transfer activity, you're an idiot.
Anyone believing Man Utd’s results & performances this season are down to the fact they haven’t got a back up left back & another striker are deluded.

Back in the Stretford End for this time since that horrible Brighton game, and enjoying the new @UWSmag issue. @AndyMitten's powerful editorial really sets the tone for how a lot of football fans are feeling with regards to city. Make sure you pick up a copy!

Can every team in the league so this, please? Would fucking love everyone's support🙏🏻
Should get a banner at the etihad showing man uniteds accumulating debt.

Curiouser and curiouser As @DamianHastie points out, in 2015 the US depts of Commerce, State + Transport launched an inquiry into whether Etihad were receiving govt subsidies Etihad statement to commission was: "The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihad's sponsorship of English Premier League football club Manchester City is … false. In 2011, Etihad and Manchester City entered into a 10-year sponsorship agreement, which included naming rights for Manchester City's stadium. Etihad funded this sponsorship from its own liquidity’

City's defence on the UEFA charges at CAS were that they aren't state owned. Now their defence will be that the sham finances came from the state. State ownership once again proving to be a BRILLIANT idea.
Exclusive with @AlexDooler @DNair5 UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Many examples of Sir Alex Ferguson's genius but if we're to boil it down to money (because, well, everything else is these days) perhaps his most impressive achievement is in his final 10 years #MUFC were not the highest wage payers in PL once, yet they won the league five times

Aside from the fact he: A) agreed to go to Chelsea before being "persuaded" to stay B) played for more than one club
The most loyal one club man of our generation.

The only reason we know about this is that Utd are on the NYSE, therefore their books are public. No other PL team has to disclose this information. Do you really think that Utd are the only club that would use this dispensation, and if so, why has no other club challenged it?
Just remembered the Premier League let Man Utd claim an exceptional £40m Covid allowance. Coincidentally, the exact buffer they needed to stay under the £105m PSR loss limit 🤔 That one single claim was larger than the allowances of the other 19 clubs combined. Fair play 👍🏽

What's worse - systemic cheating or a club competing despite the millstone put around their necks by their owners? You odious cuntmuscle
Thought for the day…as angry as we are about what City have done - what’s worse - that or the fact United now have a debt of £1.1b that they’ll almost certainly never be able to service? What’s more damaging? bbc.com/sport/football/artic…

Sir Alex Ferguson 2012, Brendan Rodgers '14, Jose Mourinho '18, Jurgen Klopp '19 & '22, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer '21 & Mikel Arteta '23 all finished second in the PL without systematic cheating. Then there's cup finals. They, their players and staff deserve justice and recognition.
