WOW -- Trump's riff about Jon Husted's ass is interrupted by somebody yelling, "Trump went on Epstein's plane!"
The protester flips Trump fans the bird as he's hauled out
Trump is then immediately interrupted by another protester!

Alex Pretti's mother: The federal government went on TV and lied about Alex. They tried to slander Alex to cover up their crime. We want to clear our son's name, and the world to understand who Alex really was. We want our son's killers brought to justice once and for all. We are begging for the Department of Justice to hold the men who murdered our son accountable for what they did.

Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.

Initial results from Israel show clearly that the opposition bloc is a few seats ahead of Netayanu's.
The two Arab-majority lists will get 17 or 18 seats together and hold balance of power.
Israeli liberals now face a clear choice: work with Arabs if you want to oust Bibi.

Ironically, Israel is living the progressive dream of having 20 political parties that represent every micro-faction, ethnicity and boutique philosophy.
All this for one senator
contradictions under capitalism are heightening, parasitic capital in the imperial core refuses to make even the smallest concessions to the working class w modest social democracy. abdul isn’t even a socialist, and yet the media still considers his populist demands a bridge too far. we must continue to organize. soon big tech & the remaining us business tyrants will have a big decision to make; will they continue the democratic experiment, or will they see fascism as the only stable path for continued extraction. to the third world our impact has been violent and destabilizing, but now, imperialism will turn inward - we must fight back against it. this will be an existential struggle.
Synthesis is pretty straightforward: activists use tactics that are sometimes unpopular to highlight issues the public can be turned to support which then causes politicians to support them in turn. Activists lead the public, politicians follow the public
Problem with activists today is they go straight for politicians. They skip public persuasion because of wishful thinking fake polls and laziness

THE CRIME LOVING REPUBLICANS ARE OPENING THE BORDERS TO LET CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS INTO THE COUNTRY
BREAKING: Flávio Bolsonaro has reportedly fled Brazil for the U.S. two days after losing the presidential election to Lula, according to allies cited by Folha de S.Paulo.
His flight is expected to land within hours, although his whereabouts remain unconfirmed.
The senator allegedly traveled through Argentina after a Supreme Court judge ordered him to surrender his Brazilian and Italian passports.
He faces two criminal investigations and will lose his parliamentary immunity in February.

It’s very funny that Mehdi believes in the fake boomer version of JFK
Sorry, you're wrong. Yet another person who refuses to watch the full interview they comment on. In that interview, I didn't *just* quote polls on protests, I began that section specifically citing the 50% of Americans who told Gallup in 1963 that JFK was moving too fast on civil rights legislation, and that JFK's advisers - the Yglesiases of that time, if you will - told him to heed public opinion and slow down - but JFK refused.
Also: you're quoting polling here from AFTER the law had been debated, argued over, and passed (and well after JFK was gone/assassinated). So disingenuous of you. The point is that JFK ignored public opinion earlier on, in 1963, and then helped turn public opinion around - which is the argument I was trying to make to Yglesias about why his position on blindly heeding public opinion is wrong.
