What a great Team !!!
As a heart surgeon, I see the impact of cardiac disease daily. February is the national heart health month. I’m proud to have my team, Maria Pinero NP and Mary Hamm RN, sporting red - it’s a powerful reminder that cardiac disease is the #1 threat to women’s health. @BCM_Surgery

As someone who is forever interested in life and it’s biggest mystery, the heart, I’m always amazed by the life of the late renowned legend of cardiovascular surgery Dr. Francis Robicsek. He had an array of cutting edge innovations in the field, a brilliant surgeon, a highly published academic, a teacher, a humanitarian, and yes an archeologist who in his “spare” time did heart surgery. He died at age 94 and requested to go to his final resting place wearing surgical scrubs. A true legend.
Congratulations Dr.Olive as you follow the footsteps of the Giants before you !!
