I was asked years ago to photo the RESPLENDENT horse chestnut tree outside Bow Road station (some 150 - 200 years old), in each of the 4 seasons - and I finally completed the set late last year. What a beauty she is! An icon. Fav commission I've been tasked with 🌳

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

UPDATE: Robert Kagan confirms to NPR that he has resigned from WaPost editorial board after disclosure it would not make an announcement. Kagan has been a persistent conservative critic of Trump, tying him to an autocratic tradition. Uniformly outraged response from staff.

Breaking | I’m hearing reports that Kamala Harris is considering Indiana Mayor Jerry Gergich as a vice presidential nominee. Gergich, in his fifth term, is an engineer and ordained minister who could help Harris appeal to blue collar white voters in the Midwest.

Really loved this week's photo feature in the mag - by Tonje Bøe Birkeland, whose photographs imagine the exploits of fictional female scientists and adventurers from the past in her series The Characters newscientist.com/article/mg2…

We won’t be announcing the winner of the Folkestone and Hythe parliamentary election in quite the same way as Ipswich did in 2001. But you can expect us to share the result here and on our website in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

A couple of years ago Sophie's family approached us regarding an album release honouring her legacy, drawing from the material that she was so close to completing. Since then this self-titled and final Sophie album was lovingly brought into being by Sophie's family. As label partners, we're humbled and overjoyed to share this music in celebration of Sophie's life and her extraordinary impact on culture. The official statement of the family will be the only statement made at this time.
