Tim Starr is an autodidact writer and independent thinker exploring the deep interplay between **economic liberty** and **military defense**. Through his Substack, *Free Markets and Firepower*, he examines how free markets generate prosperity while credible firepower secures the conditions for liberty to thrive—rejecting both naive pacifism and unchecked statism.
His essays blend rigorous historical analysis, counterfactual reasoning, and libertarian principles, tackling topics like the true drivers of the Industrial Revolution, WWII logistics and American power, the role of public goods in a free society, critiques of influential libertarian theorists, and the necessity of strategic strength in an imperfect world.
On X (@timstarr2001), Tim delivers sharp, no-holds-barred commentary on foreign policy, individual rights, historical myths, and current events—always grounded in incentives, evidence, and a clear-eyed defense of freedom against ideological capture or folly.
A long-time observer of ideas and power, he values systems that align incentives with reality: markets for creation, resolve for protection. Follow him for thoughtful takes that treat liberty as a practical achievement, not a slogan.
Due to Hoppe's recent outing himself as a Holocaust Denier, who's interested in doing an X Space about it within the next few days? If so, when would be good for you?

In the good news, does that mean that the gaslighting about Robthard (denying that he was a Holocaust denier) is over now? 😬
Too little, too late, you cowardly asswipe:

Too late! The damage to free speech and the contributions to the rise of Islamist-Marxist radicalism is irreversible!
I haven't posted on Facebook in years because every time I tried to log-in I was suspended over something I posted in one of my several pages [that Facebook hasn't deleted already] over a decade ago, and it's always the contents related to the criticism or mockery of the radical left (e.g. at least twice suspended over making jokes about AOC) and even more often about mockery of the Islamists and communists. My page with more than 100,000 followers that exposed IRGC-Soros lobbyists like @NIACouncil and Muslim Brotherhood lobby @CAIRNational since 2009 and people like @atlasshrugs used to get content from was permanently deleted without a trace over a decade ago and most of the suspensions came from a particular page that exposed ISIS savagery and mocked their backwardness (including a cartoon that remodel hinted about the relationship between goats and Islamists!).
I always knew that the Pakistanis, European Islamists (including IRGC and Qatari tied individuals) and CCP agent Chinese had infiltrated Instagram Facebook's content moderation. @Meta insiders told me that they had no control over the content moderation and the US Democrats, UN and European NGO industrial complex was running their global content moderation scheme that Meta had to comply with in order to avoid multibillion dollar fines and because such corporate policies were favored by the Democrats...

The Libertarian Party is a total shell. Run far away.
>The Vice Chair, Amanda Griffiths says to "Abolish ICE" and "does not believe in children or property."
>The Libertarian candidate for NC Senate was in a police standoff yesterday for hours while posting on X.
>Daniel McAdams, Executive Director for Ron Paul Institute and long-time prominent speaker at Libertarian events, loves wearing shirts belonging to terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and the IRGC.
A vote for them results in our same fate with Democrats. A bunch of Anti-American leftist anarchists. ⬇️

I am afraid that Mr. Hoppe has entirely lost his mind with the comments about the Holocaust, if he did not previously

This clown should read a famous economist Ludwig von Mises, and especially his biography written by his wife Margit, to learn about some important details related to the situation in Germany and Austria in the interwar period. #OmnipotentGovernement

Hans-Hermann Hoppe started reasonably, rejecting any comparison between Gaza and the Holocaust, but his objection turned out to be based on the view that, while the Holocaust did not happen, the Jews are guilty of the worst genocide. Basically, antizionism without the academese.

im shocked im telling you absolutely shocked that the guy who called for deportations helicopter rides for gay people, black people, and abolishing all immigration happens to be a genocide denier
who could have seen this coming?

Man kann Israel so viel kritisieren wie man will, aber den Holocaust in Frage zu stellen, zeigt, dass da motiviertes Denken am Werk ist.

I don't normally have a good antenna for these things, but I first read Hoppe in 2004, and immediately thought: Something about this guy is just not right.

It is not a coincidence that Holocaust denial comes hand in hand with Genocide libel. Both are rooted in Jew hate and a need to invert victim and perpetrator to find the Jew guilty.
This man was a professor at the University of Nevada for years. Astounding.
Intolerable.

The difference between the Holocaust and Gaza is that the Jews were actually able to materially fight back against the people trying to genocide them in Gaza.
That's the difference.

Since I frequently engage with libertarians and recently hosted a philosophical discussion involving Hoppe, I want to clarify something about the ”so-called Holocaust“ controversy.
I’m always open to discussing philosophical ideas, regardless of their origins. I also have no objection to political criticism of Israel. But I have no desire to associate with or continue discussions with people who knowingly promote Holocaust denial or distortion, including the kinds of claims Hoppe makes in this video. I consider this a fairly self-evident moral boundary that requires no further justification.
I don’t assume that everyone who admires Hoppe shares these views. Furthermore, it’s certainly legitimate to appreciate his philosophical ideas without endorsing the kinds of claims he’s making here.
In fact, my own primary philosophical interest at the moment is the work of Martin Heidegger, who famously joined the Nazi Party and held antisemitic views. I consider Heidegger a morally contemptible human being, yet also a great philosopher whose work I deeply admire.
I think it is possible, and even advisable, to distinguish the philosophical significance of someone’s ideas from the moral character of the person who developed them. But this distinction should not come at the expense of intellectual responsibility and moral judgment.

Hoppe is wrong on:
- Javier Milei
- The Holocaust
- Israel
- Net Taxpayers
- Preferences for Monarchy
- Every empirical topic he tries to apply deontological praxeology to
Which frankly isn't surprising from a career state-funded academic.

If only Hoppe spent as much time studying every aspect of the conflict (as in, the tactics and violence of Hamas) as he does making sweeping, unbacked generalizations about complex historical events.
Such a lazy thinker.

People should go look to the twenty minute Dugan interview again where Tucker introduced him as a philosopher.
He did not say that his books were required material to read for the Russian military. He then proceeded to tell his audience that the reason why we couldn’t read the books were because Joe Biden banned them. I’m no fan of Joe Biden, but he did not ban them. They were banned by Amazon because Amazon probably wanted to be on the good side of the Democrats and he was sanctioned for helping to start an uprising in Georgia and for publicly calling for the genocide of Ukrainians.
Then Tucker lets him speak for 20 minutes about how the root of all evil is freedom of conscience tracing back to the reformation because there are only two options, of course, individualism that leads to degeneracy or authoritarianism like Putin. He failed to mention that his own capital T traditionalism is littered with hedonism.
Or the fact that he used to be part of a séance circle that praised Hitler and did psychedelic drugs.
But perhaps the best part is when Tucker said that through all of our history, the American press and the American people loved communism and praised Stalin, I must’ve missed that part of history and that as soon as Putin came in, all of a sudden, Russia was the enemy.
Tucker is a lot of things, but he’s not a moron. That is a very specific type of framing because obviously the problem with Putin is that he is a traditionalist. He’s the one who’s bringing back Christianity even though there’s a 72% divorce rate in Russia and only 10% of people actually go to church. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he invades sovereign nations at will and poisons and kills people overseas.
This is what I mean, once you go back and start looking at the level of manipulation and pro Russia content out of Tucker Carlson it is impossible not to realize that this is exactly what’s happening. It’s like you don’t really need a payment receipt when you see it happening in real time when you go back and evaluate.

🎙️The Russian intelligence front's stated goal is "information warfare" via a "FAMILY OF PODCASTS"
"Elizabeth Lane," a Charlie Kirk assassination conspiracy theorist who RT recently named as one of its "correspondents," released another interview with Stanislav Krapivnik about Ukraine.
Krapivnik is a former U.S. Army officer and member of the Moscow-based International Club of National Unity (known as MKNE), which is the 100-strong Russian influence ops "supergroup" I exposed last month on my podcast.
Russia-linked @imelizabethlane was introduced to Tucker Carlson through a convicted CIA officer who admits to being on the payroll of Russian state media.
Lane, who is from the former Soviet republic of Georgia, admits to sharing information told to her by U.S. special ops veterans she "dated" with Russian special forces operatives when she was in Russia.
Krapivnik is currently fundraising to equip Russian forces in Ukraine with drones.
He uses @youtube as a platform to do so, which violates their TOS because that's a violation of sanctions. Maybe @TeamYouTube can give me a statement about whether they will allow it to continue.
What do you guys think...
Is using your platform to knowingly advertise people as they are openly fundraising for violent sanctioned entities an illegal prohibited "service?"
Isn't it also illegal to provide services--paid or unpaid--to RT?
What do you think, @Kash_Patel, @SecScottBessent, @USTreasury, @TreasuryDepSec, @FBI_Response?
