Improving the photo viewer while boasting it is now native, yet simultaneously replacing the gallery with a web app that doesn't at all fit in with the rest of Windows and doesn't even use the now native Editor, but instead a webview. What was wrong with the previous gallery?

Previously, photos app was using WinUi and editor was web-based. And now they decided to make photos app web-based, and editor native. 🤦

I really hope so, but the new Gallery looks almost identical to OneDrive Photos, which uses WebView2. Microsoft also specifically calls the new Editor and Viewer native, but not the Gallery. That's what worries me. I hope I'm wrong.
