36 meetings:
๐ฆ๐ท Messi โ 16 wins | 22 goals | 12 assists
๐ต๐น Ronaldo โ 11 wins | 21 goals | 1 assist
9 draws.
Ronaldo is clearly a GOAT-level candidate and has one of the greatest careers football has ever seen.
But Messi's case goes beyond simply counting goals.
Scoring. Creating. Dribbling. Playmaking. Trophies. Individual awards. Records. International success.
When you put the entire body of work together, Messi has ticked more boxes than anyone else. ๐
Cristiano Ronaldo: "The Golden boot is better than the Ballon Do'r, It's based on statistics, you don't need votes."
At the exact time Ronaldo made the statement, he was leading Messi 4-3 in Golden boot wins. Messi went on to win 3 more in consecutive years making it 4-6.
Talk about let your success be your noise. ๐

Alonso says the Carabao Cup isnโt a priority, yet he couldnโt start Estรชvรฃo.
Chelsea fans are in for a rude awakening. Someone who failed at Madrid, you think heโll succeed in the EPL?
Imagine if Arteta said this ๐
๐จ ๐จ ARTETA BREAKS SILENCE ON ARSENAL'S JANUARY ATTACKING PLANS! ๐
With questions emerging over whether Arsenal will strengthen their attacking options in January, Mikel Arteta has delivered a measured response, insisting that his squad already possesses the quality to score goals while remaining open to adding more firepower...
๐ฃ๏ธ "I believe we have the quality, creativity and attacking potential to score goals against any opponent. We have different profiles, different solutions and players capable of making the difference in decisive moments.
๐ฃ๏ธ" However, football is about continuous improvement. We must always evaluate where we can become stronger and more effective. If an opportunity arises in January to bring in a player who genuinely elevates our attacking level, we will certainly consider it.
๐ฃ๏ธ "We will not sign players simply for the sake of signing. Any addition must improve the team, complement our existing qualities and help us achieve our objectives. The priority is not to have more players, but to have the right players."

๐จ| DID YOU KNOW:
Dr. Lionel Messi left Barcelona in 2021, while Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in 2018. Just a three-year difference, but a MASSIVE difference in trophies and individual awards won since their departures.
Honestly, I have to thank Cristiano Ronaldo for making it so easy to add his trophies and awards to this picture. ๐ฎโ๐จ

๐จ Raphinha is putting himself in the same conversation as the greatest goalscorers in La Liga history. ๐ง๐ท๐ฅ
13 goals in 10 games is ELITE production. If he keeps this up, Barcelona have a serious Ballon dโOr contender on their hands. ๐๐

๐จ๐ฃ๏ธ Xabi Alonso on getting eliminated from Carabao Cup:

โThe Premier League is the main focus now.โ ๐ญ๐ญ

Alonso has done a great job clearing out unwanted players, but thereโs still work to be done.
We canโt seriously expect to compete at the highest level with Gusto and Fofana making these kinds of performances. I was surprised to see Gusto in the lineup, and Fofana made things worse after spending the last two games on the bench.
If Chelsea want to compete for the biggest trophies, we need better quality in January

"second-divison defender" too harsh
But at least you stated the obvious.
He's one of the most protected while Gerard Martin magically gets picked on for everything.
Everything about Martรญn gets blown out of proportion and every defensive contributions by him gets belittled.
He can't win against the system but Cubarsi gets pampered by the system everytime.
