Although not much new information was available for Mexico, the nation's only known violent tornado is now properly recorded on the site. Previously, only the US portion was included, where the tornado caused EF3 damage in Texas.
A massive upgrade to almost all of our Latin American tornado data is now available on the site! We're aware of some additional data still for South America, but as of now we've included as much publicly available information as we could.

Some massive and much needed updates to certain international tornado datasets coming soon -- stay tuned
1/8/2026 7:10 PM CDT update on the current site outage: we are in the process of a server transition and upgrade that will result in downtime until it is complete. Our previous traffic allowance was exceeded with the old provider. We thank you for your patience.
Updated European, Canadian, and Japanese tornado data is now available! tornadoarchive.com/home/2025…
v2.3.1 is live, which includes the 2024 US data and the Philippines data! This also includes the globe view and bug fixes for European environment data and missing wind barbs for all environment data on some machines. tornadoarchive.com/home/torn…...
2024 was a very busy year for tornadoes in the US, so it's taken a while to get all the data processed. We're in the final stages of this, and the 2024 US data will hopefully be released soon. We're also working on getting updated European data from ESWD, hopefully this summer.
We've also been working on redoing the environment data, including our own CAPE calculations and laying the groundwork to add point-and-click soundings in a future version. We hoped to release this with the 2024 data, but it's become a much bigger project than anticipated.
Lastly, make sure to follow us on 🦋, since most of us have moved over there. Find us at @ tornadoarchive.com
