“Happy Birthday womanizer … You are Goat to many ..!” This is how the anti-Hindu @Paari_Athouba who was once UCM General Secretary and now spokesperson of COCOMI mocked Lord Krishna. But some people still support Meiteis believing they are Hindus. @HinduVoice_in @DrSanjaysinghK

What about abrogation of Ceasefire Agreement with Tangkhul-led NSCN(Muivah) terrorists? They are the biggest criminals in the entire Northeast India🇮🇳. Once they are gone, peace would return in the region. Not to forget, they are secessionist but SoO groups are just demanding SA.
#Watch | Hundreds of people took part in a rally in Manipur's Ukhrul district, demanding an end to ethnic violence, the abrogation of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with Kuki and Zomi militant groups, and the removal of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen. Video: PTI

The Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU), Sadar Hills, has announced a seven-day suspension of its ongoing total shutdown in Manipur's Kangpokpi district, giving the government a final opportunity to meet its Charter of Demands. The committee has warned that the shutdown will resume with intensified agitation if the authorities fail to reach an acceptable resolution within this period. It clarified that the temporary suspension does not mean it has withdrawn or softened any of its demands. CoTU said it had agreed to suspend the shutdown to allow the government time to take concrete steps towards resolving the issues raised in its charter. It added that the government's actions, rather than verbal assurances, would determine whether the demands were being addressed. During the seven-day suspension, the committee will continue its agitation through democratic sit-in demonstrations at different locations across the district. Kuki civil society organisations in Manipur’s Ukhrul and Kamjong districts have rejected allegations linking a Kuki leader to poppy cultivation and accused Naga organisations of targeting the community amid escalating tensions following rallies in the two districts. The Working Committee of Kuki Civil Society Organisations, Ukhrul (WCKCSOs-Ukhrul), on November 5 denied that the woman seen in a video allegedly showing poppy cultivation was Mercy Khongsai, Vice President (Administration) of KSO-Ukhrul and Media and Security In-Charge of WCKCSOs-Ukhrul. nenow.in/north-east-news/man…

Remember how this police officer briefed the media daily when three Meiteis were killed, with coordinated efforts to nab the culprits? Now, complete silence over the abduction of two boys at Marimei by NSCN(IM). If we don’t matter to the state, you don’t matter to us. Hypocrites

More than 500 security personnel launched an extensive cordon-and-search operation in Manipur's Noney district early Thursday following a deadly gunfight between suspected members of rival Naga armed organisations that left three people dead and two others injured. The search operation follow a gunfight at Taodaijang village on Wednesday. Police said the exchange of fire began around 1.55 am, approximately 19 km east of Nungba Police Station, between the rival factions. The involvement of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah) [NSCN (IM)] and the Jenchui faction of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF-J) is suspected. The NSCN (IM), however, has not issued a statement on the incident. The ZUF-Jenchui faction identified two of the deceased as its members, M. Thaimei and G. Kamson. The outfit alleged that its cadres had been engaged in a confrontation with a combined force comprising the NSCN (IM), the Kamson faction of the ZUF (ZUF-K) and the NSCN-K (Niki Sumi). However, these claims had not been independently verified. Read more: nenow.in/north-east-news/man…

Manipur: COCOMI now demands @YKhemchandSingh’s resignation. COCOMI is the overground outfit of Meitei terrorist UNLF, while UNLF and Arambai Tenggol are the private militias of former CM @NBirenSingh. Many things are slowly being uncovered, yet they hide behind the SoO narrative.
An umbrella body of Meitei groups held a massive rally in Manipur's capital city on Saturday (October 31, 2026), demanding the Chief Minister's resignation over continued violence, protection of indigenous people and scrapping the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with militant groups. thehindu.com/news/national/m…

Manipur:Many outsiders wonder why Kukis demand Separate Administration. This is one reason why Kukis want to separate from Meiteis & Kacha Nagas. Only then would real drama unfold. After all this hatred, opposing Kukis’ demand for SA is self-contradictory. SA is the only solution.
TRAPPED IN A FOREVER WAR WITH ITSELF Thousands take to the streets of Imphal today. The protestors are demanding an end to what they call the Centre's 'proxy war' in Manipur. They want the SoO pact with Kuki militant groups scrapped, Assam Rifles withdrawn and displaced families resettled. Significantly, the protest is also directed at the BJP's own government. The NORTH EAST is an extraordinarily sensitive strategic geography. It cannot remain trapped between ethnic fault lines and external actors who exploit the divisions.
