A doctor can take care of a critically ill patient by guiding them with medicine & ways 2 recover BUT that patient MUST be willing 2 follow Drs. orders 2 make progress.Tulane athletics is critically ill but WON’T follow Drs. orders. They know how to get better but refuse to do so.
Folks this situation can’t be left 2 disappear. We are all fans & I consider myself no bigger than others .We should not purchase tickets or any other TUrelated items until this situation is rectified. lThis is not an insult 2 Tulane but a clear message that this can’t continue.
I think that the Greenbackers should temporarily disband, give all the dues money back, let everybody publicly complain until the situation is resolved. Then reform that way, nobody’s feelings would get hurt.🌊😝🌊😝
You can’t put a blind man in charge of painting the white lines on a highway. That is EXACTLY what Tulane AD did!
Oh cut the sympathetic Bullshit! The Alumni should get the hell out of Dodge and never return until the Administration get serious!’
Can’t do it consistently without resources

Intentions don't matter. If they did every school would be competing for a national championship and youd be dating a super model. Every AD wants the same thing. Its about performance not intention
Perhaps it’s TIME
the local sports media started being more vocal and critical of the Tulane Athletic SituationIt is well deserved and needs to be done @FletcherWDSU @DMoutonWWL
Scott's right about the money. The bigger problem is the schedule.
Tulane plays 14 non-conference games this year. Five of the eight home dates are UT Martin, Jackson State, Nicholls, Mississippi Valley State and Dillard. Four of those are buy games, and Dillard isn't even Division I.
That matters because the NET decides who goes to the tournament, and the NET sorts every game into quadrants by the opponent's ranking and where you play it. Beat a top-30 team at home, a top-50 team on a neutral court or a top-75 team on the road, and it's a Q1 win. Lose at home to a team ranked 161 or lower, and it's a Q4 loss.
The committee counts Q1 wins and holds Q3 and Q4 losses against you. A buy game is all risk and no reward.
Tulane has played two of them. It needed double overtime to beat UT Martin and lost at home to Jackson State. That's very likely a Q4 loss, a week into the season, and it will sit on the résumé until Selection Sunday, not that it matters at this point.
The rest of the schedule doesn't help. Going by last year's NET, the only likely Q1 game is at Akron. Davidson, Western Kentucky, Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss all look like Q3. Five of the home games project as Q4, and one of them is against the team that finished dead last in Division I. You can't play your way into an at-large bid with that schedule even if you win every game.
A team in a league that usually gets one bid can't fill up on SWAC teams and expect an at-large in March. Schedule people you might lose to, play them on the road, and win a few.
It's been 31 years since Tulane made the tournament. This plan isn't working.
Ha, can’t figure out if that’s a positive or negative comment!😎

An incompetent person!

I mean, like I said before, who looks at somebody who has a 14 and 30 record and says, hey, we need him as our head coach? He’s the best guy for the job
Not really ..he says nothing and dances around. Many of us have lost respect for Harris . He admitted early on that he knew Sumrall was leaving and are going to tell me that Will Hall was the best he could do?? No I’m sorry he effed this one up big-time.
I hear you, but your statement is kind of conflicting on one head you say that Harris is trying to do the right things to get us where we need to be and then you turn around and say that Will Hall basically miss the standards that we need so

@DavidHarrisAD is saying the right things to me. I wear tulane pride basically everyday and I’m known to friends and family as the Tulane guy. I feel like he is genuinely trying to get us where we want to be. I still think Will Hall missed the standard he describes.
Harris only went on the @TUptownUpdate to cover his ass for the “celebration” tweet ..so obvious ..Nothing new for the fans…insulting
Yes he can. It would take a 2/3 majority of the Senate to overuse and that ain’t going to happen.
Can someone explain this VETO shit? Do you mean to tell me the POTUS can override the House and the Senate anyway?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
US President can veto bills passed by Congress but cannot override the House and Senate. Congress can override a veto with a two-thirds vote in both chambers.
