Oh my god. Our boy is absolutely going off today. Dangles for days. I don’t think I’ve seen him dangle like this in the KHL before today

I’m just going to go out on a limb and say that making a young player’s first two years in the NHL a living hell is not the optimal way to develop prospects

Tocchet might get fired after 3 games this season if they play like this Saturday too ik so serious. It’s that bad right now, and after they maybe go 0-7 after playing Carolina, Tampa, Ottawa, Boston, and Carolina, he for sure could

Rick Tocchet hockey, baby. I was laughing when I saw that Martone was the favorite for the Calder Memorial Trophy before the season, haha. The Flyers (and Tocchet) have no idea how to develop young players into high-scoring players.

We’re clipping OHL preseason trying to make our abysmal “shades of Sam Morin” 1st round pick look good. I’m not knocking the accounts, but.. my friends.. life got so much better when I stopped investing emotionally in the Flyers

All the talk about the Ducks got me thinking. Does anyone really think Cutter would be scoring 41 goals if he played last season in a Flyers jersey? The Flyers organization seems to refuse to lean into the strengths of their highly skilled players

They would be telling Cutter to focus on and improve other aspects of his game, as they always do with players who “need work” in certain areas. Cutter was correct to get out of Philly

With the way the Flyers currently draft with middling 1st round picks, they probably feel like 4 of them is a really cheap price to pay. Four Bonks, Luchankos, or Nesbitts? Lmfao

This was likely going to happen so I didn’t even get invested this time. If they don’t have a top 10 pick they just fuckn toss it in the garbage. This management squad is as bad as it gets

As a generality, if one of the 3 best drafting organizations from the last 5 years wants to do a picks only trade with you on draft night .. is it a good idea to do it? I can’t answer that with certainty this year but I can answer it through a probabilistic lens

There are only a handful of teams in the league with GMs (or whoever’s running the show) who have more than 3 brain cells It’s absolutely not a coincidence that Vegas and Carolina are in the final

The beginning of Matvei Michkov becoming the next Sergei Bobrovsky? Looking forward to it

That really is the bottom line. Two types of fans. Ones who are tired of mediocrity and want a legitimate top contender. And ones who are peachy if Flyers can just be competitive at all If neither Martone nor Michkov are real gamebreakers, this org will not be a top contender

Yes, Tocchet isn’t coaching just Michkov, he’s coaching the entire team. Yeah. But Michkov and Martone are the most important players for the future. If neither of them turns into a superstar, the Flyers will be waiting at least another 10 years for a Stanley Cup.

"We're trying to make him like Bump, like Barkey." Yeah, when you have a chance to turn your 7th overall pick into someone who plays like a third or fifth round pick, you’ve got to do it!

I don't know what language this was in, but it certainly isn't the modern English dialect.

What have you seen that leads you to believe they will score a goal?

Hate to say it, but Michkov was definitely not scoring that goal that Bump just scored. Is it bad usage, lack of confidence? Idfk anymore, but he wasn’t going to do that
