धर्म कोणताही असो, प्रत्येक नागरिकाला संविधानानुसार समान वागणूक मिळालीच पाहिजे. महानगरपालिका ही सर्व मुंबईकरांची व संविधानानुसार अस्तित्वात आलेली आहे. तिथे धर्माच्या आधारावर भेदभावाला अजिबात स्थान असू शकत नाही.
महानगरपालिका आयुक्त या सनदी अधिकारी आहेत. भारतीय संविधानाचे पालन करण्याची त्यांनी शपथ घेतली आहे. त्यामुळे समानता आणि धर्मनिरपेक्षतेच्या घटनात्मक मूल्यांचे रक्षण करणे ही त्यांची जबाबदारी आहे. अशा प्रकारच्या भेदभावपूर्ण कृतीची जबाबदारी निश्चित करून आयुक्तांना पदावरून तात्काळ हटविण्यात आले पाहिजे.

मोदी सरकार IDBI बैंक उस कंपनी को बेच रही है, जिसे खरीदने के लिए कंपनी IDBI का ही पैसा इस्तेमाल कर रही है।
कंपनी के चेयरमैन और फाउंडर प्रेसिडेंट प्रेम वत्सा और प्रेसिडेंट पीटर क्लार्क के मुताबिक-
'IDBI बैंक के पास बहुत पूंजी है। हमें किस्तों में पैसे देने हैं। ऐसे में हम पहले IDBI को खरीदने के लिए कुछ पैसे देंगे। बाद में IDBI बैंक के जरिए ही पेमेंट करते रहेंगे।'
बता दें कि बैंक खरीदने वाले- Fairfax के चेयरमैन नरेंद्र मोदी के बहुत करीबी हैं।
2017 में हुए 'Vibrant Gujarat' में प्रेम वत्सा ने नरेंद्र मोदी की खूब तारीफें की थी और उन्हें सिंगापुर बनाने वाले ली कुआन यू जैसा बताया था।
आप समझ लीजिए - शायद इसी तारीफ की वजह से IDBI बैंक प्रेम वत्सा को बेचा जा रहा है।

कमाल का सौदा हुआ है!
जिस बैंक को खरीदना है, उसी बैंक से खरीद की आधी से ज्यादा रकम वापस मिल जाए—IDBI बैंक के प्रस्तावित सौदे में ऐसी ही योजना सामने आई है।
कनाडा के Fairfax समूह को सरकार और LIC की IDBI बैंक में 60.72 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी खरीदने के लिए चुना गया है। कीमत लगभग 52,878 करोड़ रुपये यानी 5.6 अरब डॉलर है।
इसके साथ IDBI को ख़रीद रहे Fairfax की योजना है कि उसके ग्रुप की Go Digit की दो बीमा कंपनियों और IIFL Capital में उसकी हिस्सेदारियाँ IDBI बैंक खरीद ले।
निवेशकों के साथ बातचीत में Fairfax के अधिकारियों ने इन हिस्सेदारियों की अनुमानित कीमत करीब तीन अरब डॉलर बताई। यह बैंक खरीदने की कुल रकम का लगभग 54 प्रतिशत है।
IDBI इसके लिए पैसा कहाँ से लाएगा? इसी सवाल पर Fairfax के प्रमुख प्रेम वत्स ने कहा कि IDBI बैंक के पास अतिरिक्त पूँजी है और बैंक नकद भुगतान करेगा।
यानी प्रस्ताव यह है कि Fairfax बैंक का नियंत्रण खरीदे और बैंक Fairfax की दूसरी कंपनियों में उसकी हिस्सेदारियाँ खरीदकर उसे रकम दे। Fairfax समूह हिस्सेदारियाँ बेचने वाला भी होगा और खरीदने वाले बैंक का नियंत्रक मालिक भी।
क्या कमाल का सौदा है न !
यहीं निष्पक्ष कीमत और हितों के टकराव का सवाल खड़ा होता है। कौन तय करेगा कि बैंक इन हिस्सेदारियों के लिए कितना भुगतान करे? क्या कीमत का स्वतंत्र मूल्यांकन होगा? क्या खरीद बैंक और उसके सभी शेयरधारकों के हित में होगी?
अभी यह योजना अंतिम नहीं है। Fairfax की 14 अक्टूबर की घोषणा के अनुसार बाध्यकारी समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर नहीं हुए थे। RBI, SEBI और बीमा नियामक IRDAI की जरूरी मंजूरियाँ भी मिलनी हैं।
फिलहाल इतना स्पष्ट है: बैंक खरीदने की बोली की कीमत घोषित है। बैंक से अपनी हिस्सेदारियाँ खरिदवाकर Fairfax कितनी रकम लेगा, वह अभी तय नहीं है। इस प्रस्ताव की शर्तें और मूल्यांकन सार्वजनिक होने चाहिए।
फ़ेयरफैक्स के मालिक प्रेम वत्स का मोदी प्रेम विश्वविख्यात है और उन्हें 2020 में मोदीजी की सरकार की तरफ से पद्मश्री पुरस्कार मिल चुका है!
