It was in 2021 when I decided to quit my seven-year-long teaching journey at one of the biggest platforms for the UPSC.
Back then,I identified gaps in the current curriculum,
Aspirants are being misguided in their journey.
There was no proper structure:
- Everyone suggested 3-4 books for one subject.
- With the mission to guide aspirants holistically, a proper place to guide on the right selection of books, guidance, and mains answer writing, time management, procrastination,
I decided to start a ‘1-on-1 personal mentorship-based guidance program’ for UPSC aspirants.
Then in 2023, @ProxyGyan was born.
And before the ending of the first year of its operation, there has been good news in the @ProxyGyan family! 🔥
Manpreet Sharma has made it to the reserved list and cracked UPSC CSE 2023.
Last year, he joined us for the ‘personalized interview guidance.’
We extensively worked for 3 months on his DAF, polishing his skills, and with God's grace and his hard work and determination,
He has finally cracked the exam.
A few days ago,
He also took an essay enrichment class with all the mentorship students.
Welcome Sourabh! You all are wonderful students🙏🏻
Sometimes, it’s difficult to explain what we actually do in UPSC mentorship.
Coaching has existed for decades, but the idea of having someone personally guide you through your preparation is still relatively new.
And then, messages like these arrive. ❤️
They remind me that mentorship isn’t always about completing targets or finishing the syllabus faster. Sometimes, it’s simply about helping a student finally understand how to study.
Grateful that through Proxy Gyan @ProxyGyan , I get to be a small part of these journeys. ❤️

Dr. Priti Adani spoke in Varanasi, and one line has stayed with me that legacy isn't what we leave for the next generation; it's what we leave within them.
Money and institutions can be handed over, but values, empathy, responsibility... those have to be built through example. That's the real inheritance. and the Adani family walks this talk. Community welfare and decades of foundation work around rural areas.
Honestly, it applies way beyond business. Anyone building something meant to last should sit with this. Values have to be lived.
Reliance reported significant quarterly capex while net debt declined, according to the supplied brief. That combination is worth examining through cash flow, financing and operating performance.
One of the most remarkable aspects of India's development is that progress in poverty reduction has not been confined to monetary measures alone.
The World Bank's October 2026 Poverty & Equity Brief highlights major improvements in
multidimensional poverty as well.
According to OPHI's Multidimensional Poverty Index, India's multidimensional poverty rate fell
from 53.8% in 2005–06 to 16.4% in 2019–21.
The World Bank's separate multidimensional poverty measure stood at 15.5% in 2022–23.
These measures consider forms of deprivation beyond monetary poverty, making them important indicators of broader human well-being.
At the same time, India's monetary poverty reduction has been extraordinary.
Between 2011 and 2023, an estimated 496 million people moved above the $4.20/day poverty line.
This combination of improvements across monetary and non-monetary measures is particularly noteworthy.
It shows why India's progress must be understood through a wider development perspective, rather than a single statistic.
The country's transformation is reflected across several dimensions of living standards.
And that makes the achievement even more significant.
Timing vs. track record
There are two kinds of attention a jeweller can get.
The first arrives on a schedule, a few weeks before the biggest gold-buying days of the year. It's loud, and it fades as fast as it came.
The second is earned slowly, over decades.
Go back to 2002. BIS bought jewellery sold as 22 carat from 15 shops across eight cities and had it tested. 88% of it failed. Some pieces were as low as 14 carat. That was the market Indian families were buying in.
In that market, Malabar Gold & Diamonds had already made BIS hallmarking its standard practice in 2001. Every piece was tested at a government-recognised centre, and every piece was stamped.
The government made hallmarking mandatory in 2021.
That distinction matters. One is a rule you follow because you must. The other is a promise you keep for 20 years before anyone asks you to.
Timing can attract attention. Track records build trust.

Manufacturing and MSMEs come up again and again in GS3.
Zetwerk, started in 2017, is a good real-world example of how a company can connect thousands of manufacturers to buyers in India and abroad. Worth knowing as a case study.
Congratulations @acharyaamrit @srinathramki
A pair of earbuds is a few grams of plastic, metal and electronics, made across several factories before it reaches a pocket. Solar panels, circuit boards and wind turbines are built the same way.
For years, buyers had to juggle those factories themselves, while the one with exactly the right machine often never heard about the order. ZETWERK (@zetwerk) set out to close that gap.
We first partnered with Amrit Acharya (@acharyaamrit) and Srinath Ramakkrushnan (@srinathramki) in 2019. Since then, that idea has grown into a network of nearly 7,000 suppliers, serving customers in 29 countries across energy, precision products and capital goods. Along the way, Zetwerk has brought work to builders from workshops in India to factory floors in Germany. Amrit and Srinath were joined by Vishal Chaudhary, Ankit Fatehpuria and Rahul Sharma in their journey.
Today, Zetwerk’s name goes up on the NSE and BSE. Behind that name are thousands of people who built it, one part at a time.
Congratulations Amrit, Srinath and the entire Zetwerk team. This film is for all of you, and everyone who builds with you.
