Disabled math is figuring out exactly how much you can make a month without falling off the Medicaid coverage cliff. Bonus points for knowing more than people who’s job is to figure that. Bonus bonus points for when they say “now that’s not fair…” while reviewing your numbers

Disabled/ chronically ill math is figuring out how much of your paycheque will need to go to buying: safe food, HEPA filters, fitted masks, safe hand sanitizer, Covid tests, & medication not covered by insurance.

Disabled math under covid is becoming your own amateur actuary, constantly calculating the potential negative impact to your lifespan of avoiding healthcare versus the potential negative impact of seeking it.

Disabled math is trying to figure out the date to refill a rx. You know either the dr, pharmacy, or insurance company will fuck it up. Fill too early and you're a "drug seeker," fill too late and you'll end up unmedicated if there're any issues. #DisabilityTwitter

Let me be clear; people with disabilities deserve to be paid the same as their non-disabled coworkers. The notion that disabled people don’t deserve or don’t want equal pay is ableist, inaccurate, and damaging to our community. #DisabilityTwitter cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/f… – at Statesboro, GA

what is your government telling you about the value of _your_ life when it is easier to ask for help with dying than it is to get housing, social services, medical relief, etc?

Just a few words about having a disability. Having a disability myself I can speak to this. People with disabilities are choosing MAID because politicians have failed. Myself I was too pissed off to choose MAID. People are quite literally living with constant hunger.

As you’ll discover this season on @cbcwhitecoat Canada is a country where in some places you can get #MAID faster than you can get an appt with an oncologist or an MRI.

There's a genocide happening in Canada! Disabled people are being coerced to die in Canada via MAiD (euthanasia). Due to lack of access to medical treatment, safe housing, food, and enough money! So they're being driven to die since that's the only choice they're being given.
