The Ethiopia I know is dead. People today cannot even agree on a single definition—they just refer to sometime in the past (from 30 to 3000 years). If you’re out here to “save” whatever you call Ethiopia, you are still in the matrix. Ready yourself for a new reality instead.

These Amhara families were in Jari because violence had already driven them from their homes in Wellega, after losing loved ones, livelihoods and everything they had built. The camp was supposed to offer refuge. Now Reuters reports drone strikes on Jari 2 killed at least 15 people, including five children. All three sources said there was no fighting in the area when the strikes hit. They survived violence, displacement and unimaginable loss only to be killed where they sought refuge. The world’s silence compounds their abandonment. State sponsored #AmharaGenocide is happening and the international community is silent about it.

At least 23 displaced #Amhara civilians were reportedly killed and many others injured in three successive drone strikes attributed to #Ethiopian government forces at an IDP camp in Tehuledere, South Wollo.
