Personal update:
Today is my first day at @zapier.
I’ve joined to lead the narrative, positioning, and GTM strategy of their MCP product.
Excited to get closer to AI. Agentic and autonomous is the future and Zapier is primed to win.
Been trying out Duet for a few days now.
It's genuinely good, but feel like it uses up session and weekly limits so quickly. Anyone else?

This is AI slop with numerous factual errors. For example, Selena Gomez is from Texas, not New Mexico.

Zapier MCP is growing 4x faster than Zapier did at a similar scale.
People want to build from anywhere and everywhere.
For most of @Zapier's 15 years, you opened the Zap editor, picked a trigger, and wired up each step yourself.
But now people start wherever they use AI: Claude, ChatGPT, Muse, etc. They describe what they need, and the AI reaches their apps through Zapier MCP.
Every new AI tool becomes a front door to Zapier. In Muse's launch week, more people added Zapier MCP there than to ChatGPT.
All of that growth is still what our team calls "fingertip work." Someone asks their AI to do one thing in their apps, Zapier MCP does it, and then it waits for the next request.
The next frontier is automations that run on their own... That's 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗭𝗮𝗽𝘀, in early access now.
Describe the job once, wherever you build, and it deploys a Zap that keeps running after you close the chat (or the laptop). It can even fix itself if something goes wrong. We're bringing Zapier to a whole new world of builders.
If you want to last 15 years in tech, you have to reinvent yourself.

I get that Sam and Dario should probably say that 50% of white collar jobs will be gone in the next 5 years. It’s the right thing to do. But it’s like telling your customers “in the next 5 years you won’t be able to afford us anymore whoops”
So seeing them backpedal in the last few weeks is pretty telling. I’d guess that since public opinion looks to be souring on AI, it’s in their best interests to pull back on the doom and gloom.
I have hope that it’s NOT JUST because of that, but my cynicism has a hard time believing it’s anything but.
