"optimistic L2 gameplay" - ur character is on mainnet as nft - u claim u own the char on an L2. it doesn't care if u do or not - u interact on L2 and level up a 'savestate' - whenever u want, you can bring the savestate back to mainnet to upgrade to ur nft (and *only* that nft)
