Staying up late in the evening is still "you" time. Once you wake up in the morning you're back on company time.
The morning belongs to your job
The night belongs to you. People like staying up late. It makes them feel they have more time for themselves.

Saying mid-2010s LeBron was “awesome” feels patronizing like that’s just the best player ever lol
Bill Simmons says Yaxel Lendeborg has saved the Steph era in GS and compares his game to 2010s LeBron
“Yaxel looked like mid-2010's LeBron in this game. I don't say that lightly because mid-2010's LeBron was awesome.”

People will act like “never hearing of something” is a critique of that thing being bad when it’s usually just a sign that person hasn’t been paying close attention and isn’t as knowledgeable as they thought they were.
OK, I'll bite. If John Cassavetes is so insanely influential and brilliant, why have I not heard about him until recently?
I've been on a side-quest with classic and esoteric movies, mostly through the Criterion collection. I've watched dozens of Criterion closet picks from filmmakers and actors I admire.
They pick Cassavetes films ALL THE TIME. Probably more than any other director except Scorsese. I haven't seen a single Cassavetes film. I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk about a Cassavetes film outside of those videos.
I'm not a slouch on film, I've got a pretty wide spread on what I've seen & what I appreciate. How has Cassavetes slipped through that net so completely for so long?
