I voted DA on both ballots. I humbly ask all of you my friends to do the same.
A vote for blue is a vote for YOU.
Let’s get our municipalities WORKING FOR ALL💙

We are now watching wokes attempt by to explain to us why AGOA is overrated, in short form as usual - to align with their attention span.
Same wokes who can’t define what an economy is, can’t even explain the basic process of an automotive assembly plant, and can’t even talk to commercial farmers because they believe them to be crybabies who whinge about farm murders.

And who destroyed property rights so that “informal settlements” became a thing?
[WATCH] Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi says the reason some communities complain about water and other forms of service delivery is because the government cannot account for everyone who lives there. He says those who establish informal settlements or live in back rooms are not registered in the system. #Newzroom405

AfriForum’s move under @kalliekriel to take legal action against @Mngxitama2 is the right one. An MP who publicly frames the deliberate cutting off of a farmer’s ears during a brutal attack as a symbolic political message about “land thieves” and “no land no peace” is not engaging in legitimate debate. He is using the suffering of a living victim (Donovan Marx, still recovering in ICU after being shot, stabbed, and mutilated on 28 October) to advance a narrative that treats extreme violence as understandable or even justified. That crosses a clear line.
Mngxitama’s record already includes previous statements that courts have scrutinised for hate speech. When a sitting member of parliament responds to a farm attack involving torture by reducing the victim to a political symbol and invoking historical grievances in that context, it undermines the basic expectation that elected representatives do not legitimise or trivialise criminal violence. Accountability through the courts is not “silencing” him; it is applying the same legal standards that bind everyone else. If the evidence shows his remarks meet the threshold for hate speech, incitement, or related offences, he should face the consequences of the law.
@ParliamentofRSA, you also have a duty to examine whether an MP who makes such statements remains fit to hold office. Farmers and rural communities already live with elevated risk of violent crime; they do not need elected officials treating the mutilation of one of their own as a talking point.

South African pilot Rowan Tooth was one of the relief pilots who helped regain control of flydubai FZ1073, after the co-pilot’s attack, and land it safely. The UAE has now awarded the crew the First Class Order of Zayed II for their actions. Proud moment for SA aviation.
News24 and the Daily Maverick have still yet to report on this South African hero.
What disgraceful journalism.

It is insane how much the GNU's stubbornness is costing South Africa.
In recent months, they even said it's perfectly okay for us to be excluded from AGOA.
These GNU clows are apparently "our" "representatives".
AfriForum holds @PresidencyZA @CyrilRamaphosa and other ANC leaders in government directly responsible for South Africa’s removal from AGOA and the job losses that will result.
According to @afriforum, President Ramaphosa and his government’s foreign policy, as well as his announcement on 23 January 2025 that he had signed the Expropriation Act into law, directly prompted President Donald Trump’s announcement just ten days later, on 2 February, that the US would take action against South Africa. AGOA sets explicit requirements for the protection of private property rights and stipulates that beneficiary countries may not undermine US national security or foreign policy interests.
As early as April 2024, AfriForum sent a letter to President Ramaphosa warning him of the risks that the Expropriation Act, which allows for expropriation without compensation, posed to South Africa’s trade relations. Ramaphosa did not even respond to the letter, and the country is now reaping the bitter fruits of his and other ANC leaders’ reckless policies and actions.
Over the past year, AfriForum, @solidariteit and the Solidarity Movement have put forward comprehensive proposals during discussions with the South African Presidency in an effort to resolve the dispute with the US. Solidarity also held extensive discussions with the US in an attempt to save AGOA. Unfortunately, the Presidency disregarded these efforts, and ordinary South Africans are now paying the price.
Ramaphosa and his colleagues in the ANC leadership have placed their own ideology and party interests above the interests of ordinary South Africans.

South African social media is about to be filled with "experts" telling you who's to blame for the Trump administration kicking South Africa out.
Don't get propagandised. Read the key eligibility requirements for a country to qualify, and decide for yourself.
The country must have, or is making progress toward establishing:
1. A market-based economy that protects private property rights and minimises government interference in the economy.
2. The rule of law, political pluralism, and the right to due process, a fair trial, and equal protection under the law.
3. A system to combat corruption and bribery.
4. Does not engage in gross violations of internationally recognised human rights or provide support for acts of international terrorism and cooperates in international efforts to eliminate human rights violations and terrorist activities.
How does the ANC-led South African government score on this checklist?

People don’t want water tankers, they want CLEAN WATER COMING OUT OF TAPS!!!
Fascinates me how #ANC politicians refuse to understand this.
[WATCH] Joburg Mayor Dada Morero says the city is gradually moving towards operating its own fleet of water tankers, to reduce reliance on contractors. He says 20 tankers procured in 2025 are already operational, while a further 16 are being rolled out in phases. #Newzroom405

If you traveled to Berlin to tell people that King Leopold killed people, you'd be exposing nothing. That's History 101.
There is a fundamental question these woke dummies who claim to want to save Africa ignore.
Yes, Belgium's King Leopold turned the Congo into a personal slaughterhouse. Millions murdered. Hands chopped off for rubber. So what?
What does that help with the economy today? What does that help with healthcare? Infrastructure? Technology? Development?
Having an international platform and using it to tell everyone what they already know. How is that going to help Africa?
The problem with these woke people is they think they're being attacked when they're asked to be logical, not emotional.
Yes, we go back to that history, to reflect on how far Africa has come, not as a strategy, a victimhood script, or a self-pity guidebook, because that doesn't help.
Africa needs builders, not crybabies looking for every opportunity to compete in the Victimhood Olympics.
Almost every nation has its dark chapter, but don't use it the way it's used for Africa, to gain sympathy that doesn't build or help anything.
They invited her to Berlin thinking she would praise them. Instead, she exposed their blood-soaked history.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie didn't hold back. She exposed the ultimate Western lie. They teach their kids to "help the poor Africans," but completely erase the fact that Belgium’s King Leopold turned the Congo into a personal slaughterhouse. Millions murdered. Hands chopped off for rubber.
They don't teach the truth because the truth is a debt they can never repay.
Watch this. Bookmark it. Teach your children who the real savages were.

South Africa is out of AGOA. All they had to do to prevent this was to scrap the "nil compensation" expropriation act, condemn "Kill the Boer", prioritise rural safety & scrap BEE.
But the resentment for farmers and whites runs so deep that the ANC would rather cut off the nose to spite the face.
