one more pro tip for getting a job in today’s market!
don’t just send a cold DM saying you’re interested and listing what you’ve worked on (i think cold DMs are becoming overrated)
find out what problem the company is working on, build something around it, or solve a small part of it, then share what you made directly with the team.
a few candidates in the @rightfitso network have been doing this for companies we’re hiring for, and it’s working really well for them.
proof of work will always speak louder than a cold message.

I just bought our family’s 1st Car for my dad.
We never had a car; we had to depend on others to let us borrow it, and I hated every second of it when I was a kid.
A few days ago my dad asked me if I can help him get one, sent the entire amount to get it on cash, never felt better.
All the sleepless nights are worth it if you can make your family feel the success as well.
(P.S. this was from my personal savings since I’ve been working “full time” since the last 4 years lol)
i’m hiring 2 growth interns to join me at @rightfitso in bengaluru!
i’ve spent the last year building rightfit, talking to thousands of people, understanding how they find opportunities, and what makes someone genuinely good at what they do.
one thing i’ve realised is that building a great product and getting people to care about it are two completely different problems.
and i want to find two people who are obsessed with solving the second one.
we’re not looking to just run ads, post content, or chase impressions. i want us to understand how people discover things, why they share them, what makes communities grow, and how something becomes part of people’s everyday conversations.
there’s so much happening on the internet every single day. new formats, communities, creators, distribution channels, and behaviours. most people consume them (including me) i want people who can’t stop thinking about why they work.
someone who notices a trend before it becomes obvious. who can turn a random observation into an interesting experiment. who understands that sometimes one great idea can do more than a hundred mediocre posts.
you’ll have the freedom to try things, make decisions, build your own experiments, and see the actual impact of your work.
and i’ll be right there working alongside you.
we’re a small team, still figuring out a lot of things, and there’s no established growth playbook waiting for you.
that’s exactly why this could be fun.
i don’t care where you studied or how impressive your resume looks. i’m interested in how you think, what you’ve tried, and whether you have the curiosity to figure things out without someone constantly telling you what to do.
if you’ve ever built an audience, grown a community, experimented with distribution, or made something people genuinely cared about, i’d love to see it.
and even if you haven’t done any of those things professionally, but you’ve been obsessively learning and experimenting on your own, that’s interesting too.
2 growth interns / bengaluru.
working directly with me.
send me your proof of work, interesting experiments, or simply something you’ve done that makes you believe you’d be great at this.
let’s make rightfit impossible to ignore 🖤

Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5:
hackertube.org/
- Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session)
- Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads
- Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version
- HackerTube Longs ✊
A bit more on the process:
I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing.
Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

Great line from the CTO of Proton. I’m paraphrasing and stealing it :
Your job is not to use agents to help you write code. Your job is to lead the agents to help them write code.
i’ve never used voice typing before but i’ve been a huge fan of granola’s notetaker. i recently tried the voice typing feature, and it’s honestly pretty amazing. thanks, @meetgranola 🫶

Granola now does voice typing. Unlimited words, for free.
Granola already writes your meeting notes. Now it can do the typing for you, in any app.

Today, we're shipping real-time graphics.
Using Sol 6.1 Ultrafast we can generate custom overlays, diagrams, and even interactive 3D scenes right on a user's screen, no chat.
It's a new visual interface for AI.
Here's me learning about LLMs + hardware.

i was genuinely giggling while watching this 😭 i’ve always loved what @FarzaTV builds but this one feels like a real game changer.
absolutely amazing work. love this! 🔥
