Hello. I’m Mayor Rob Harrington. I'm honored by the confidence City Council has placed in me and grateful for the opportunity to serve. I'll lead by listening, treating people with respect and working every day to do what's best for our city. Together, we'll focus on the issues that matter most to our residents while making thoughtful decisions that will position our city for the future. Over the months ahead, my goal is to help bring people together and keep Charlotte moving in the right direction.

Rob Harrington will not be “interim” Mayor, just Mayor. An official act of council appointed him Mayor. The last time Charlotte had an “interim” or “acting” mayor is when Michael Barnes held that title while the office was vacant due to Pat Cannon’s resignation. #cltcc

The Charlotte region just ranked second in the nation for job growth last year, trailing only New York City, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (@BLS_gov). This momentum means tens of thousands of new jobs, and we’re committed to making sure this growth reaches every Charlottean.
