Fair play to @RBReich for articulating what very few liberals are prepared to, namely that while there may be a core of far right scumbags voting for Trump, he wouldnt get anywhere near the White House without the support of millions who feel theyve got nothing to lose.
Ive decided to give bluesky a whirl, mainly because the last 30 people to follow me are, for want of a better word, sex bots (check out my followers if you dont believe me).

Starmer’s Labour stinks to high heaven
Keir Starmer says that he accepted £20000 worth of accommodation from Lord Alli because he didn't want to be doorstepped during his sons GCSEs.
A reminder that Jeremy Corbyn had the press camped out the front of his terraced house every day he was leader of Labour.

🚨This is the story of how UK & EU goods are STILL going into Russia in vast quantities, despite sanctions.
Of how the economic war waged by the G7 is failing.
Of how I witnessed sanctions rules broken in plain sight.
But above all else it’s the story of a chart... 🧵
Go facsist, go broke.

Professor John Bell says the BMA are a drag on reform of the NHS. Would that be the same John Bell that the Mail reported in 2020 had over £750k in shares in private healthcare provider Roche?
I wonder why someone with that level of vested interest would critiscise a union.
Perhaps he should be asked why Roche provided £12.5 million of useless antibody tests during COVID, at a time when he was head of the National COVID Testing Panel?

Not his most well known performance but James Earl Jones was absolutely masterful in Matewan, probably the best film about trade unions ever made.

RIP Sol Bamba. An outstanding player for Cardiff City, he also had a spell as assistant manager last year.
Sol was a fearless centre back who nevertheless always played with a smile on his face. A true gentleman and genuinely lovely man who will be missed by all who met him

Inflation in the €zone has fallen strongly and is now back to ~2%.
I think this is consistent with the analytical view that inflation has primarily been driven by supply factors (e.g. supply chain disruptions, energy, food), not demand factors.
